i have generally better performance with fabric then forge, and while agree there is far LESS content, that is a byproduct of it being around a shorter time then forge, and definitely does not match your sentiment of no mods. a fair amount are quality, as well. it may not have many tech mods, sure, but small content mods for exploration/ qol or just fun little additions do well for me
