So far it's not "real" but the fact that they even consider this kind of shit says a lot.
We know they are serious about it but just know they can't get away with it... Yet. Overton window bullshit incoming then come back with something tolerable after an "lol jk this was just a meeting and we denied it" then they keep doing this until one day it's policy

To be fair you have full control over your local console. Just not online if that's what you are getting at. Me a non online player has lost nothing, and gained like 700 on day zero and another $500 minimum at year 5 going by average upgrade cycles for gamers. That brings me to like 7-10 years.
