Hey everyone. I'm Meet. I know English and I want to learn Spanish. But i can't get to start with it, considering I've never learnt a language deliberately as a subject, but only through growing up with it and using it.

When I start with an app or books to learn it, i relate things with other languages i know and find it difficult to learn it as on a blank slate. And it only turns into a translation and not learning it like a language. And Google does a better job at translating, so again I just leave it like that.

I want to learn Spanish like we learnt languages as a child growing up. It is easy to remember new words and keep language rules separate from each other.

What approach do you guys use?

If you're starting from 0 I personally think it's a good idea to use those basic apps like Duolingo to get an idea as to how to actually form a sentence - it worked for me really well - best of luck 👍
