I never needed a private school to understand english, it's not too hard to understand, the problem is when u dont anybody to talk and practice your pronuntation and stuff like that.

My name is Ignacio! I was born in Argentina 🇦🇷, and although I'm living there again, I spent most of my childhood in Puerto Rico, where I learned English as my "second mother language". My English accent got a bit rusty after I moved back to Argentina since I didn't use it that much anymore, but I still have no problems speaking and understanding it.
I joined after watching a video of a native English speaker having a conversation with some native Spanish speakers (most of you here might have seen it already), so that I could meet some new people and even help with either language if anyone needs it. I'm not sure how long I'll stay, or how active I'll be around here, but maybe this can be the start of something nice!

Me llamo Ignacio! Naci en Argentina 🇦🇷, y aunque tambien vivo aca, pase la mayor parte de mi infancia en Puerto Rico, donde aprendi Ingles como "segunda lengua madre". Mi acento se oxido un poco despues de que me mude de vuelta ya que no lo usaba mucho, pero no tengo problemas en entender y hablar ingles.
Me uni al servidor despues de ver un video de una nativa del ingles hablando con algunos nativos del español (la mayoria de ustedes seguramente ya lo vio), para conocer gente nueva y ayudar con cualquiera de los idiomas si alguien lo necesita. No se por cuanto tiempo me voy a quedar ni que tan activo voy a ser, pero a lo mejor este es el comienzo de algo lindo!

Hi! My name is Raul, I'm 31, and from the US. My dad's family is from Puerto Rico, but I did not grow up speaking the language, because he can' speak it. I took Spanish classes in high school, and after that was very good at speaking and understanding, but during college and beyond, I've lost a lot of it because I rarely needed to use it once I was no longer taking classes to learn it. It's been a struggle to get back into it, but I'd like to be able to speak Spanish as well as I did back then again by relearning the more advanced grammar and expanding my vocabulary.
