Hello! I'm not actually a bird, from USA and very fluent in written and spoken english. I'm proud to have advanced vocabulary for a lot of different industries, including most sciences, technology, and medicine.

As a native speaker, grammar and spelling are conversationally functional, but not enough to pass exams...

I used duolingo for years, got to roughly very early B1 in spanish according to their metrics, as well as podcasts and some netflix in spanish to try to get better at listening comprehension.

Also, I do not know how to write on a keyboard on my computer in spanish with accents... any good suggestions for that? Got the spanish keyboard hotkey on my phone though. That will probably be my primary way to write in spanish.

Happy to help anyone interested in American english, especially idioms and slang that are tricky for learners.

I started speaking Honduran Spanish as a teen, as I lived with a Honduran family then. I'm a US citizen born and raised but my mother speaks fluent Spanish as she's a Peruvian woman. My current partner is Mexican and their mother speaks only Spanish. I have picked up on a good amount of things from my mom speaking to me, though much of it is not really helpful for conversation. I've been taking Duolingo classes for a couple months now so that definitely assists my understanding but I really want to learn more Spanish so I can connect with my mom's side of the family and my partner's family.

I've been quite busy with my education as a Music major (with a focus in voice) and my work to pay for that, but when I'm not doing any of that I love playing Smash (Melee, Ultimate), obsessing over FNAF and Sonic, and writing my own music! I'm not always available but I'd love to spend whatever time I can over here talking with some of y'all!

I was never at that high a level but I used to understand more

I am a second language Welsh speaker and sometimes struggle with getting confused and mixing Welsh into my Spanish since I’m a higher level in Welsh.

Hello, im Finnley, but Finn for short! I am 17 years old, a native English speaker from the US, and i want to learn Spanish! My stepmother is Mexican and speaks both English and Spanish, so when someday she takes me and my family to Mexico, i want to at least know a little bit!
I took 3 years of Spanish in high school, but my teacher was a long-term substitute who didn’t speak Spanish, so it was little to no help.. But hopefully here ill thrive!
