About my English, since I started when I was 5 (and maybe hyperfixation idk :3), my level's very high. Watching hours of YouTube videos in it daily since i was 10-ish means I have an American accent (iirc, a substitute half-British half-Spanish English teacher told me I sound like I'm from the west coast?), though with a few quirks. For instance, I'm sorry, guys, but I'm not calling it a "movie theater". They taught me British English from the get-go in elementary school and extracurricular academies. I say "cinema" 😔

Interests: linguistics, mathematics, programming (currently studying the fancy-schmancy "Cross-Platform Application Development")

Entertainment interests: many nintendo and indie games (i. e. Mario RPGs, Deltarune...), object shows, some very talented YouTube musicians (like, say, Stupendium or sbassbear), The Runaway Guys, RanguGamer y asociados, Jet Lag: The Game...

I attended a C2 certificate exam on the 31st of January.
My Reading comprehension? Top-notch! Oustanding! An A for sure!
My Listening comprehension! Wow, he's gone and done it again, what a magnificent showing of linguistic prowess!

My Writing expression? A.k.a. whipping up essays on the spot in a pinch on random-ass topics I couldn't give the slightest of damns about? Without a smidge of interest or passion?
Who would've thunk it! Horrendous! Atrocious! A failure of catastrophic proportions!
I, for one, am gobsmacked and my timbers are shivered
...I really should've seen it coming

I have the Speaking part next Friday. I'll be doing it for funsies at this point.

Hello everyone! I'm Daz, from the United States, but my family is originally from Barcelona. Trying to improve my Spanish so that I can live and work in Spain some day. I'm currently an intermediate spanish learner, probably like a B1-B2. I can comfortably read newspaper articles and listen to most conversations and follow along, but actual production is a little more tricky, so just hoping to see actual usage and get more comfortable in a writing/speaking role while learning something that isn't as ridigly formal as you see in textbooks and El País, etc.

Hola, I am an on-line adult learner attending college for my first Bachelor degree and am trying to learn Spanish. Because I am doing on-line classes, engaging in conversation during the learning process has proven difficult. Hello! My name is Stephen, and I love the Avett Brothers. Like seriously love love love the Avett Brothers. I've seen them in concert 18 times, and I plan to keep seeing them in concert until the day I die. I'm a native English speaker, but I love Spanish. I studied 4 years in high school, and 4 years in college (during which time I spent 6 weeks in Guanajuato, MX) living with a host family. After graduating, I went to work for Project Mexico (a orphanage in Tijuana, MX). But that was all about 22 years ago, and I've long forgotten most of my Spanish (which was only intermediate at best even at its peak). Fast forward to today, and I've been re-inspired to try to get fluent. I'm kind of obsessed with trying to do as much as I can throughout my day in Spanish.

So if anyone wants to text, to talk, or whatever, let me know. I'm have no formal education in teaching, but I'll certainly do my best to help anyone who want to get better at English.
