I took spanish when I was in highschool and in college, had very good grades in it and passed it very easily. But so much time has passed since then without using my spanish (plus learning other languages) that I have ended up forgetting almost everything I learned, and now I feel overwhelmed by all the verb conjugations again 😂

I recently made a friend at my workplace who moved from mexico to the states here. They speak only spanish, and I wanted to help make their life living in the states just a little easier by relearning spanish in order to more easily and freely communicate with them without the need of using a faulty and derpy translation app. I will probably be lurking around here until I feel comfortable enough to spit out a couple of words i've learned here and there lol

Hello my name is Wojtek and I live in Gdynia. I'm from Poland and I want to improve my english (especially speaking because the writing is not bad at all) and get motivation to learn Spanish. Estoy in classes avanzandas por todas los temas en la escuela y estoy in discurso y debate, eso es porque no tomo classes en español. Querio ampliar mi vocabulario para communicar con mis parientes, quienes voy a vistar en un otro país en abril. Estoy practicando Español porque creo que es una lengua muy útil, especialmente cuando trabajo en un banco de comida en los meses Agosto - Diciembre y Enero - Mayo (cuando hay escuela). Hello! I’m Ryan! I’m about to be 19 in 2 weeks! I’m a native English speaker and I took three levels of Spanish courses when I was in high school! Despite that, I’d consider myself a beginner in Spanish, especially when it comes to actually speaking the language!

My goal is to improve my Spanish by next Thanksgiving so I’ll be able to converse with some of my family better! Some of them recently moved from Colombia and primarily speak Spanish, so I’d like to bridge that language barrier!

Alongside that, I’m a licensed cosmetologist and so far I’ve had many experiences where me and my coworkers have struggled to communicate effectively with Spanish speaking clients.
