Hello, My name is Sebastian. I was born and currently live in San Antonio but I do have family from Mexico and I am Hispanic. Background for the Spanish language:
I had been studying Spanish for a decent bit, especially from high school (for 3 years officially). I'm a graduate, and I am trying to continue to acquire more Spanish (from different countries, I do not care since I want to be able to understand a bunch of my fellow Hispanohablantes). However, if you do speak with me, to warn you: the accents will either be one of the following: Puerto-Rican or Spaniard/European, however I will try to stick with the Puerto-Rican accent usually. However, I would like to imitate different accents and dialects according to the people I interact with.

Goal: To speak Spanish quickly like a Puerto-Rican and to be understood like a Mexican. I want to achieve a C1 rating in terms of fluency for whatever daily life throws at me, and to be ready for it. I would like to understand rapid speech and understand everything. Reading, writing, and listening, and visual things help me learn languages. As already mentioned, I will follow the Puerto Rican dialect usually, but I am fine with trying to imitate other accents or dialects especially.

Origin: I am from the United States, specifically from Florida (which is why I need Spanish partially). However, my parents are monolingual Americans, and I feel obligated to comprehend Spanish in my family.

Hobbies:
I go to the gym occasionally, I like learning about history, customs, different philosophies, and I like to learn about different religions. I am interested in studying Slavic languages (mainly Russian) especially and Eastern European society (hit me up if you speak Russian fluently). I rarely play video games since I care about my health and care about getting those pesos (if you get what I mean).

Un gusto, soy Yansi. Soy venezolana y por ende mi idioma nativo es el español. He tomado cursos de inglés desde mi penúltimo año de bachillerato y actualmente cuento con un B1 level.

Mi meta más cercana es practicar mi lectura y linking, mejorar mi pronunciación y obtener más vocabulario para poder expresarme de manera más fluida; además me gustar hacer práctica de listening Británico, es todo un reto jajsjsj pero me encanta hacerlo por la diversidad de acentos que tienen (like mancunian, cockney, etc.)

De las cosas que más disfruto hablar son de: música, espiritualidad, idiomas ofc, películas y series, cultura general, entre otras cosas ❤️

So, long story short for English, Australian, Canadian, British or any other people that is an English native speaker 😅: I'm Venezuelan, I have a B1 level in English and I love having conversations either in English or Spanish about music (especially this topic💜) spirituality, general knowledge, languages, movies and series, etc

I like practicing my listening with British accents more than American ones cause is a great challenge. I alsowant to improve my reading, pronunciation and add more vocabulary.

Hello everyone. I'm from Tampa, Florida. I'm an english speaker. I teach math in a middle school with approx 50% hispanic population. About half of them are learning English. Aside from my own interest to learn Spanish, I'm wanting to communicate with the English learning students better as well. I'm open to communicate with others learning English or Spanish to help us both improve. I use duolingo faithfully and take myself through certain youtube channels and Spanish language workbooks. This channel looks to be a great way for another avenue to learn for me.
