Hi! I’m from Chicago, I speak American English. I’ve had experience with Spanish for a long time so I think my pronunciation and accent is pretty good (that’s what speakers tell me) so I’m not here to work on that. I started seriously trying to learn Spanish a couple years ago and I know a decent amount now. (Not really advanced conjugation, could work on irregular verbs, not really perfect tenses, weak vocabulary, just bare minimum, which I think is fine because I am learning). I think what I should do is start to have conversations and get out into the real world with my language skills, the advanced stuff can come later. I think my fluency would improve by speaking naturally, and I’m looking for practice doing that here. I want to learn Spanish because it is prevalent in the US and around the world, and it’s just so useful to know, and there are so many people I can talk to. Can someone tell me if there is a text channel we’re I can speak English and a native speaker can speak Spanish or something like that? If not my DMs are open. Also I am a minor don’t send me weird stuff. I can’t articulate the same stuff in Spanish, but: Quiero hablar en Español, creo que conversaciones ayudará mis habilidades. I'm from the East coast U.S. I'm Puerto Rican, but I wasn't raised speaking Spanish as much and was taught English as my first language growing up lol (though my family made sure to use Spanish terms/words like abuela, titi, tio, etc. when addressing family members, and some traditional Puerto Rician foods so I'm familiar with certain words and items). Hola, me llamo Tim. He vivido en España por casí ocho años, pero mi nivel solo está asi-asi.
Eso es porque dos razones. Primero, soy de Nueva York y todos de los gentes quieren hablar conmigo en inglés. (No le ayuda que enseño inglés aquí) Y segunda, vivo en Catalunya y más o menos, prefieren Catalan. Puedo hablar Catalan al mismo nivel, pero hay mas chicas en el mundo qué hablan "Castellano" 😅
