little rant for y'all on my wife's immigration case.

My wife and I have been having some very disappointing news 😦
Unfortunately, since I'm an idiot and didn't rtfm (even though I already have a lawyer who retired on me...thanks a lot)
I never thought to update the address on my license.

Well, once my wife and I went to the interview, they harped on me for not updating my license. Then they quickly started accusing me of not living with my wife and therefore not sharing assets (bonafide marriage).
Afterwards, despite the health insurance, joint bank account, and car insurance, they still assumed I must not be living with her.
We received a letter stating that they intend to deny our case
If she is denied residence here, that means we would have to restart this case all over again (took 18 months just to get here) or she would be forced to leave the country
Seriously though, over an address that I didn't bother to update on my license (oh and my tax returns showed my mother's address...cuz that's where I was living at the time)
People move, and the DMV is a pain in the royal dick. I really didn't think about my license as being a factor AT all.
