Is anyone here learning a language with duolingo? And did it work out for anyone?

I tried to learn other languages through Duolingo. As far as I know, it's not a great resource. From my experience with their Spanish course, it barely teaches grammar (as in, they don't go that in-depth) and the practice sentences they provide sometimes don't make sense or would never be said IRL.

And then there's the app's reliance on AI, but that's another issue entirely

you could just play Pokemon in your target language. pokemon games are pretty good for that since they tend to use simpler language, as they're more geared for children, particularly the older games

media pila in this case works as a nick name to make fun of the guy on the left. (i don't know exactly what the joke is, I just know it's supposed to make fun of him because it's a pretty common structure in Argentina, Que haces + funny nickname)

Just for reference, this is naturally a hard-level movie to learn/practice Spanish on your own because on top of needing a high level of Spanish you'd need to be familiar with the specific words used in Argentina and on top that the slang.
