Main gen seemed busy so I thought I would ask here. My duo super got cancelled (I was on a family plan). I use preply 4x/month with a tutor but is there another app like duo that would be better for me to spend my money on for a daily practice? I would do like 15-25m/day with duo. I’ve considered babble before but you gotta pay up front for it so it’s kind of expensive.

duo is useless anyway after like a month of using it (super beginner). You're not really missing out with the stuff Duo teaches anyway - especially with their recent AI shift (might as well just crack open an AI and ask there).
I always tell people the best resource is the one that challenges you just enough to push you towards your end goal (without being TOO easy) while being enticing enough for you to go back to everyday. You don't need to spend money as there's a bunch of pretty great resources online FOR FREE, but you need to actually seek them out.

LanguageTransfer I heard is good, but I haven't used it as much (maybe like an hours worth?). I mostly just chat with folks in this server daily / watch YouTube videos in Spanish and call it a day. Sometimes I'll do live voice calls and practice there as well.

CABA is kind of like NYC, that's why that's why they said to avoid it if you want to experience """local culture""", in most provinces you'll find the same mentality to be honest, the entire interior of the country is scarcely populated apart from urban communes like Córdoba and Rosario so the local culture of the vast majority of argies may not be native. Argentina has a lot to preach about immigrations, because that's what most of the people came from (Either from Europe or other Latin American countries).

It's also got a quite relevant arab diaspora, at least the most important in latam. Although throughout the country the climate is template, Salta, Jujuy are dry and hot, they are of deep native influences because of the Inca empire, they're also bordered with Bolivia which has the most diverse range of native peoples so that's also a factor, there's colonial remnants in the architecture, with desert valleys that may recall the american west, going even more west the Andes mountains are high and cold going from north and south of both the entirety of Chile and Argentina. In the Northwest, called the Litoral region, they provide guaraní historic culture, that you'll notice going around towns and cities, Misiones is covered in jungle and deep forests with a diverse range of animals that you'll be able to see when visiting the Iguazú falls, the local dialect also got guaranitic slang, the accent is similar to the one in Paraguay, there are portuguese speaking populations in the east side of the province, and in the heart of it (Oberá) there's a heavy slavic influence (kinda random, but its the only place where u can hear polish/ukranian spoken). Córdoba is the second most historically relevant city in the country with its distinct accent, the province got the Pampas mountain ranges and plains, the culture is very criollo and catholic. Can't anything more specific since it is pretty diverse and wide, sierras are stunning.

That's great, but what do they mean by "handled appropriately"? Heated arguments are pretty much inevitable in these types of channels, and it seems like Discords censors a lot of things considered "inappropriate".

Let's say, for instance, that a guy who disagrees with the whole modern gender thing starts a discussion... 3 min later he would be banned, even if he was not attacking anyone directly. Pretty much anything "conservative" would be banned.

Or a conversation about WWII and someone pops up making a case for the Axis lol

You need to provide a certain degree of freedom of speech in such a channel
