I just started watching kids cartoons in Spanish and it’s been about 5-6months and I’m not fluent but I can understand like 40-50% of conversations but that’s because I didn’t study or watch cartoons consistently so just study and watch cartoons and your brain will do the work

I recommend pocoyo, bebefinn and baby bus personally

Then after I could understand when people are saying “where are you” and “are you okay?”I switched to more complex stuff

Like pbs kids in Spanish (specifically curious George) and sheriff Labrador for my hearing skills, so now it’s easier for me to hear Spanish when spoken fast

In Puerto Rico, we use AST, which is the same as EST but without daylight savings

It is good but for me La Promesa feels much better for learning Spanish. Adult stuff sometimes, although nothing graphic or shocking, but repeating a lot the same phrases and events. I even have a Finnish translation of it with subtitles which makes things easier. But the whole things is visible if your internet adress is in Spain (means living or visiting, not VPN of course) so it has Spanish subtitles to episodes too.

Maybe I could watch kids stuff but now it even feels too simple.

And kids shows don't teach you vocabulary like doncella, criado, mayordomo, palacio, etc.

However now I feel I want some change so I am thinking is there any other good qualiry Spanish series worth watching

you'll definitely get there, just think immersion immersion immersion, talk as much as you can with people who speak spanish, watch heaps of videos/films/series, maybe even make a seperate instagram/tiktok account and make sure you interact with spanish speaking videos!

im not sure if there would be much but a good idea as well would be to try to find social clubs or groups that involve spanish + english conversing events, at my uni we have one and its super cool being able to talk to people and learn at the same time! It's a good amount of pressure aswell because it's usually spanish language dominant!
