If a person is to feel controlled, they’ll naturally have an unusual reaction even in their own culture (in everything, not just language).
Even I do that occassionally:
e.g. I sometimes say unconsicuously that I’m sick instead of denying something politely.
To solve that, I try my best to make my relationships good with officials or the random ppl who seem aggresive due to cultural diffs or personal styles.
It dossn’t always work because ppl aren’t the same even of the same cultural background.

I took long because I’m not obliged to chat.
