Hello
That Turk cursed me because I disagree with her about some Quranic translations. It has 0 negative effect on me.
First off: Being a native doesnât mean that Iâm perfect. Abu Bakr and Umar made some mistakes in their exegesis, but Ibn Abbaas has never cursed them even thoâ he knows better. While l-Hajjaaj never makes mistake, but Abu Lahabb does.
Second: Language is a subjective and relative field, as what is accurate depending on the person, not what is in the books. Hence there are many correct interpretations for single words.
Most translators and commentators in all subjects intend to be controversial by sharing what is common only instead of all viewpoints.
But in fact, in language, what is perfect for me canât fit everybody.

Duolingo.
Whatâs ur streak
"the" apple, not just apple
so that, plus "el" in the beginning
or la
I'm dumb
Forgot what gender was
đ
ABut still
apple is apple
Yeah but
THE apple
New acc so its only a steak of 3, but imma make it far thisd year. I wanna really expand my vocabulary in spanish
đ
Good luck!
la manzana
(feminina)
Kittyđ
Hey
Accents are beautiful!
The thing is, as a native I have a different set of mistakes:
I can misvocalise names or use wrong words.
But non-Arab fluent speakers (which are few relatively) have grammar and pronunciation issues.
đ
Wtf đ
.hug @twin saffron
.kiss @lean sigil
out of school stuff
buuuuut it's the start
then tonight ima ask him abt his gym
just had to make sure he was coming first
olso textin at 9am is okay but after midnight is off lmits?
okay bud
yes bc that's when normal ppl are up
and he knows i don't have bad intentions
9am i havent had coffee
doesnt count
as being awake
i wake up at 6 am usually
i wake up at 7
so why are you waiting 2 hours for coffee
because caffeine in the morning is no good
better to wait
but it's still morning
so you wait 3 hours đ
Not true
ye
what do you do for those 3 hours then
Go about my day
I also wait an hour to eat because I go for runs in the morning every other week
every other week?
Or rather I go for a run then eat breakfast
that makes sense
Yea so this week everyday when I wake up I go for a run
But next week no
i've never heard of that
but love that for you
Never heard of people going on a run in the morning?
i have, just not every other week
I canât overtrain my body too much or Iâll get injured so the other week I rest and just go running in the evening
oh so you run twice a day
Yeah but in the evening I run longer than the morning cause Iâm actually fuelled up
for how long/ how much ground do you cover?
morning 3km slow pace, evenning 6km high pace
so you sprinting through sweden full speed at night?
not sprinting
i just keep up a high pace
and i run in the outskirts of town where the farms are not in the middle of the town
light sprinting
last 6km Ihad a pace of 5,12 minutes per km
Half of the Arab TikTokers use an AI.
so you finished in like less than 30 minutes
31 minutes
But today I ate better and hopefully Iâll be able to go faster
yay
what did you eat?
Breakfast yoghurt, lunch a sallad with chicken and dinner I had idk what something my mom did with some beef and potatoes
Why eyes emoji broski
Whatâs wrong with that
nothing, it just sounds good
@calm quartz wey, por que me maldijiste asĂ? que te hice yo a ti? ;-;
Okay but when do I get the tea tho
what tea
oh
its 5:56pm rn
and hes not here yet soooooo
Bro wtf I have to stay up all night for the mtfkn tea bro hell no I ainât doing that again (Iâm doing it again)
okay he sat all the way up front and im in the middle đ
thats the only update i have rn
while i cry in chemistry
Nah nah nah he just sick, he didnât wanna make you sick too
Trust me thatâs what happened
okay we can be delulu together
sure buddy
Maybe he had a bad day
Accidentally drop your textbook somewhere (chuck it in his direction and hope you donât hit someone)
Then you just have to pick it up and say hello! Ez
@rare oak
i don't have a notebook đ i have an ipad
âWHOOPS I FELL DOWN 6 ROWS OF SEATS AND INTO YOUR LAP!đđâ
LOLLLL
girl bye đ
Ahh hell yeah you got them cool American classrooms?
Thatâs so dope wtf
Iâm so jealous
ew what
we have a lecture hall
Like the stadium type seating?
Oo I thought he was talking about the rows that go up a level
.hug @fresh bramble
Vale, me vuelvo a mi tumba
oh
.kiss @stiff dome
Ahora sĂ
Ooo yeah we have those in our auditorium as well
yeah those
they cool ash
Yeah tbh I can agree I had a study hall in one once and it was so nice and each thing had personal outlets for laptops
Chairs were nice also
this how ours look
its so ass
Yo no hice nada, que pasĂł
we have those too, but thats a class
theres a difference here between classes and lectures
lectures have 200 students or so
class has like 30 max
guys he left immediately as the professor finished đ
i didn't even pack up before he was out the door
im cooked
he just having a bad day
text him ask him why he didnt talk to you (dont) (in any universe)
I love you
.pat me too
me too
that would be so weird đđ
never texting that man again đŁïžđ
ok so youre over a seven month long crush like htat
no, i'll admire from afar
Ah see that is more like high school classrooms
@proven shard I keep getting Scotland TikTokâs telling me to go study at universities there đ
how so? đ
you want me to keep trying??
next time i see him will be tuesday
i can try again but i'm not gonna get my hopes up
no just let go of it
or actually tell him lmao
two options
hahahaha i always seen edi and glasgow uni tik toks but thats obviously expected hahahaha
would you ever consider it? đ€š
tell him that i like him??
ew no
idk man, i dont think im cut out for this
ima just wait and see what happens
probably subtle flirt
You said it canât get any worse right
and keep it pushing
probably not, any worse would be me not knowing him
Respectfully
i havent been...
Okay
What do you want me to say bro
That was the truth it didnât work
Maybe he a little on the slower side
Not so subtle
Or just less subtle
so, an obvious not direct flirt
Idk what that means I think just do donât think
Thatâs what I do
Itâs got like a 50/50 success rate
Wait I just realised does this mean you havenât flirted at all or just not subtle
i havent had the chance to flirt this semester
and he was confusing me last semester + my lab partner also liked him so i couldnt go after him cause she was going after him HARD
Dude are you just not into him or something
You got his number
You can flirt over text
You đ«
not my fault he was confusing đ
So help him make up his mind and flirt with him
And not an uhhhh flirt do it with confidence so he knows
but we dont even talk enough for me to do that...
I was going to say that youâre going to friend zone yourself then start flirting but forgot you can actually do that
So you should
Just not so much friend zone that he talks about girls with you
idk what to talk abt with that man
Okay⊠well then maybe if you donât have enough chemistry with each other to keep a conversation then maybe look somewhere else
Respectfully
Also he does martial arts just ask him about
i have nowhere else to look
Guys like that love to talk about themselves
You got a whole campus woman
You got all of America
boy bye i dont fit america's beauty standard
What youâre in a contract
i fit puerto rico's beauty standards
That tells me nothing
yeah, i meant like if the opportunity presents itself
No I just said by the end of this week
Too bad text him
pleaseeeeeee
Nuh uh
Then whatâs the point
You just pushing it further and further away
Then you got another seven months
And in those months he done looked somewhere else
okay FINE i'll text him tmr asking abt the test
man his lab partner last semester is easier to talk to đ
Just ask him how his day was or sum shit
boy how else am i supposed to start a convo
Bro asking about a test omd you need counselling
A dude texts you about a test is your gut reaction âyea he wants meâ
Clearly

Mtfka just ask about something normal
Not some test where he can answer
Yea so basically this
Then you say oh thatâs cool
Convo dead after that
Yea bro I give up
Your bar is so incredibly low itâs crazy
You canât be happy with a convo
No
Like I really donât want to have to tell you this
Youâre nineteen years of age
Surely you know better
oh sorry
Actually no
Because you are content with a convo
Youâve got to get something from the conversation
Be that just a little flirting or if you grow a pair a date
maybe not a date
thats scary
wait that sounds like im a child hold on
it's not scary, just nerve wracking
actually, this is all nerve wracking
Do you know how distraught I am right now
Genuinely
You canât have this little game
As a woman
YOU DONT EVEN NEED GAME
đ
idk how you think women just walk clouds and get what we want cause i certainly dont get what i want
this is making me wanna go to sweden cause is it fr that easy over there???
Shiet
No
But I mean
On the right day yea
For women
For men hard work all day of the week
On the right day it is that easy
but wym right day
I think itâs universal for every dude so I wonât reveal trade secrets

@late mason read this shit and tell me she has game
i take what i can get
I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO RESPOND
No you can
But itâs like
What do I respond
Now you guide me
Switch roles fully
Because I need to work on my responding to serious things as well
Cause I donât do well
um, well first i wouldnt crack a joke if its another person
i like to make jokes cause thats my way of coping
in a sense
Okay
That tells me nothing
Now I know how you deal with it how do i respond to it
gimme a sec cause this is hard
idk how you would respond either
i think that sucks is a good one
It feels so forced
another one could be "praying/hopefully you remember soon"
guys thereâs so much text
sorry
Okay Iâm going to sound like an asshole now, do you remember the stuff you forget? Because I know jack about amnesia
sometimes
lately ive been remembering bits and pieces of my childhood
but if its something that happens recently i tend to forget it
i forget chunks of stuff
like ill remember what my mom said 2 months ago but i cant for the life of me tell you what i did yesterday other than take a test
i forgot my childhood completely
Damn that sucks ass
initially i didnt remember anything after november 21st 2022
the day before the incident
now ofc i remember bits and pieces
and it helps that my mom was/is like a diary to me so she fills me in on stuff
But like unless this is too personal, are you a different person? Like since you forgot stuff from your childhood
oh, like the other day, i think last week, i met 2 guys that i was apparently close with in hs
So sorry for the late reply Iâve been out all evening, but yeah Iâve looked at study abroad programs! Definitely wouldnât be against it
idk if i am, but i do feel different
like i dont recognize myself in photos
not even hs photos
Damn
and my mom says im not 100% back to how i was
i was told ill never be the same
but mainly, doctors dont know
bc not a lot is known abt the brain yet
and apparently i was the worst patient my doctor saw that year, out of 300 patients
Is there like a scale to how memories go?
i like educating ppl abt my experience
wym
Like if itâs cherished does it go away harder than some random day
um, if its a cherished memory i've forgotten, i cry harder abt forgetting it
like yesterday i lost my favorite ring and i dont even remember wearing it yesterday
so i cried real hard last night
or like in january 2023 my favorite uncle passed away, and he wanted to talk to me before he passed but i didnt take the phone bc i didnt remember who he was
so i never got to say goodbye
and when i finally remembered i cried for a week ||and i still cry/regret this||
Thatâs nice at least
Couldnât imagine not having my family there for a thing like that
yeah, my family were the only ppl that stayed by my side
another weird thing is that my mind went back to when i was 7
thats why i act a lil funny
or not like a 19yr old
hence why a convo means a lot to me
NOOO its okay you didnt know
nothing is wrong w you!! youre probably not used to it
it's okay, i get that reaction a lot now lol
it's not everyday you interact with someone that almost died in hs!!
Yeahhhhhh
Precisely
Iâm going sleep now tho that just sounds horrible honestly I wouldnât wish that on my worst enemy
Is it just me:
I speak all languages I know naturally as if I do with a friend or a family member.
(I donât care about mistakes.)
Most of the time:
Ppl understand everything I say perfectly.
omg don't worry about it!
Wtf...
Hola

hola
Coding in Comic sans

alguien tiene recursos para aprender java?
putting public before private is comic too
what r u making in sdl
I have never seen anyone put private before public
damn opposite for me
saw a lot of code with it up top but honestly that's probably bc my first language was py
Grammar is crazy.
did u rly add the Ă to saudi to make it sound more spanish
But thatâs why I learn it since I like challenges.
No, because if I donât add it the stress would be in the u.
not in español but i get the point
bc in spanish the accent is on the last vowel
arabs say soodi right
yea ok i get the point
I think the "good practice" standards are different between python and C++, but also I know for C++ it doesnt matter compilation wise
C++ is extremely flexible with letting you do whatever you want haha
except for the languages being far apart in paradigm and use cases, yeah how exactly you format your code is just preference although there are good practices which are good to follow in most languages
yeah c++ has a lot of options
the ub is annoying though when u write something that looks fine but because of compiler shenanigans u accidentally sigsev
python has less of that which makes it way more manageable
Idk what you mean by ub
But yes I would agree python is much more managable at the cost of control and efficiency (but I do know a lot of projects dont necessarily need the level of efficiency that C++ can give you)
array accesses which are valid syntax but break easily
Oh yeah
yeah, like python a lot because of it it usually just works
haven't been writing much c++ lately been polishing up on webdev
A quien le gusta el Chapulin Colorado?
The default stress in Arabic is in the first syllable.
Many dialects use the second thoâ.
But it is an acceptable way, not a correct/standard one.
This has made me immeasurably happy
<@&998293734812811395> How popular is SpongeBob in your country? Does it have a ton of memes like in English-speaking spaces, or is that more The Simpsons?
SpongeBob is really popular but I wouldnât say we have like a ton of SpongeBob memes, Iâd say that we have a lot more Simpsons memes
The simpsons itâs a show that anyone has watched here, SpongeBob was really popular, but it was only for a certain period of time and only kids
The amount ls simpsons memes here is like insanely crazy
Mostly because simpsons have a specific scene for basically anything đ
Do most of The Simpsons memes come from the golden era of The Simpsons (so not really the modern seasons)?
Yeah
Thatâs pretty interesting. So The Simpsons is like Latin Americaâs SpongeBob.
Yeah pretty much
Exactly
The simpsons bush meme is prob one of the most overused meme in the Spanish community
But pretty sure the rest of the world has experienced that meme too
It was popular for some time here, too.
I donât think I really see it that much anymore, though.
Our âthat Simpson meme everyone has seen a million timesâ would probably have to go to Steamed Hams.
I still see it a lot
That one too
The entire sketch has been turned into pretty much everything.
You could probably recreate every single piece of media with just clips from The Simpsons and SpongeBob.
Fr bro
Istg when I used to watch videos on YouTube
The WHOLE video
Would be full of simpsons memes
Like in between
Not even one second of the videos were wasted
So yeah, simpsons memes are really popular here
Thatâs so interesting that there is an exact counterpart to SpongeBob meme culture in Latin America, and itâs The Simpsons.
Iâve seen snippets of it on this server, so I knew it was pretty famous.
But I didnât know how famous it truly was until today.
Yeah, although tbh the simpsons memes are for like a certain range of people
Like a certain age
Newer generations dont use them anymore
Only the generations that experienced the golden era
lots of anglo media and memes gets incorporated into the spanish community
I think the Simpsons is especially popular in Argentina
so there aren't a lot of SpongeBob memes compared to it
but it can be different in the rest of the region
Exactly
Not only in Argentina
In Mexico they are really popular
not only but especially
Yeah obviously
like the amount of memes coming from here is insane
Yeah
Holaa
Argentina is a producer of SpongeBob memes.
The typic bro
dao*bso
Esto no es general wtf donde estoy
Como andas pa?
JAJAJ
I was just thinking about that episode! (if itâs the one where Homer grows fat)
el gordo bondiola

Both are very famous in Brazil, but they're aren't much used in memes
:D
Iâve found many Spanish memes about cartoons including Spongebob.
What would you know about that
en AM aman mucho a spongebob, saint seiya (los caballeros de lo zodiaco), dragonball y holly&Benji
I personally donât like comparing myself with others.
I donât see myself better or worse than anybody.
I got a new Nahua friend.
She is muy cool!
Mis fotos de las auroras en jueves.
En de Virginia.
En Virginia?
No sé.
Hay muchos estrellas!!!!!
Eran muy preciosa (gracias vidis por el ayudar)
So prettyđ„ș
Iâve never seen them before in my life so it was amazing
You were so lucky to see them
I really wanna see them too
Thereâs probably gonna be more this coming year tbh
South europe
You're from Texas that's so cool
Ohhh yeah idk. I think they mightâve been visible if you were able to get to a rlly empty field
I wish
Nono, im from Virginia so right next to the capital Washington DC , about 5 hours south of New York City.
Texas is further south than Sicily

I know where Virginia is but i thought u were from Texasđđđ»
Ohhh lmao.
Idk how much of the states Europeans generally know and Iâve gotten flamed for assuming so Iâm extra careful these days
My dad is from Texas tho.
I know all of them dw
Me too
Texas seems nice
Itâs nice but full of crazy people xD.
Also full of nice people
Texas culture is just kinda weird. Very Texas centric
Delicious food though. And rockets.
crazy peopleđ
Would like to visit one day
I saw a guy with a giant moustache and cowboy hat there.
He was 100% serious about it.
I asked my dad cause I was like 13 at the time and he said âoh yes they really do existâ
That's how we imagine Texas đ
Literally like this
HAAHAHA
Thatâs how the rest of America imagines Texas too lmao
And itâs how Texas really is
Exactly like this
And very Patriotic đŠ
They even have their own Texas pledge to the flagđđđ
I wanna go theređ
Wait they do???
âHonor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisibleâ
Yesđđđ
What's Virginia like?
I didn't know this đđ
Pretty much four different states with northern Virginia, Richmond, Virginia Beach, and then the rest of Virginia
The rest of Virginia is suuuuper country southern
Richmond is artsy, northern Virginia is full of government workers and business people (also one of the richest parts of the country), and Virginia BeachâŠ.i donât really go there tbh.
I googld looks nice
Shenandoah is beautiful
I think itâs in the top ten states with the most trees too
Thereâs too many trees here.
Why not??
Just too crowded
I prefer to drive to North Carolina for beaches
Virginia Beach is small and crowded
Omg it is
I have a friend from there
The US actually has good nature
Yeah, I usually rent a cabin there for a few days each summer just to get away from everything. Itâs very peaceful there.
Yes we do đ
That looks so much fun tbh
Thank u native Americans for preserving the nature for thousands of years instead of building cities like the Europeans smh
(All in jest to Europeans)
We have nature toođ
I know I was joking đđđ
You also have public transportation.
Which we do not have.
I like wyoming
Bro
I literally do not know anybody from Wyoming. But I know itâs very pretty
The best state
I didn't excpect it to be that little
I mean itâs got a lot of land but
I think only 200,000 people live there?
No. 581,000
wtf thatâs a lot more than I thought
and I was expecting more than 1M
Thereâs only like 360M in the whole country
That's a lot
Compared to the amount of useable land not really
China and India have over a billion people
Damn
Thatâs crazy actually
wtf
Ikrrrr
No idea
Usa is 4th biggest right
Depending on how you calculate land area either 3rd or 4th
If you account for water territory 3rd
If you donât 4th
Big af
How many states u been to?
Probably like 15?
wow that's a lot
Most of them were just along the northern corridor
And then Texas Colorado California Florida Idaho Washington state and North Carolina
So actually 18
All the New England states except for New Hampshire and Maine
And West Virginia
That's so cool
Colorado is beatiful

I appreciate corrections even in my native language since nobody is perfect.
But even for beginners, corrections are more helpful when they are detailed since improving is usually done alone.
No need to say complicated grammar or phonetic terms, simple advice like reading specific books, listening to good content, journalising, etc. always helps others improve.
hi, someone is maybe preparing for dele c1 in spanish and want to study together or maybe someone who wants to help đ„ș

His English is 100% L1 General American, but if I did see Sora and if he didnât state that he is a Japanese person named Sora, I would mistake him for a Korean or a Korean American because his speech patterns resemble the ones I know online plus their cultures are similar.
I donât know what exactly give me the Far Eastern vibes, I canât notice a foreign accent or grammatical mistakes, but maybe, it is just me; afterall my mind autocorrects the accent and grammar âto the ones I usually hear, if a UK fan, then I hear it Scottish, if an America fan I hear it North American, if a kangaroo fan, I hear it Aussieâ when I understand the person who speaks
How do the Far Easterners in London and North America speak? Maybe, they influence him.
Also, do they use words from their languages?
Hi, I'm a Japanese guy who likes to troll.
I'm fluent in both English and Japanese, but I was born and raised in Japan.
I know I look and act like I'm 16 but I was born on 1992/February/28th.
I'm actually a voice actor and a translator. I also make music as well.
I was also an English teacher in Japan for 5 years before.
If you are interested -...
I learn Japanese culture from this person.
I'm not sure i get the question. Are you asking how far eastern (Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc) people behave/speak in my country?
Are you also saying that this youtuber plays audio clips from fans around the world and that you group their accents together?
Correct the grammar if any.
Exactly!
I was just tryna blend in.
After all, I wanna gather courage to join VCs since there are no longer asleep ppl around me.
How do the Far Eastern peoples in the Anglosphere speak?
Is it like him?
I wanna know if it is the accent or just his use of the language which gives me Japanese-Korean vibes.
The accents are part of it
I've only interacted with the Chinese and Korean people in my area a few times each so I guess the major difference between them and other groups is the level of mannerisms/politeness. They speak quickly and if they aren't as fluent in English (B2 esque) they'll use the sentence structure of their native tongue. They'll bend over backwards if you need help but they're also the most likely to trash talk you to your face in their language.
His English is 100% L1 General American, but if I did see Sora and if he didnât state that he is a Japanese person named Sora, I would mistake him for a Korean or a Korean American because his speech patterns resemble the ones I know online plus their cultures are similar.
Japanese and Korean are very similar languages, and their speakers have somewhat similar accents when learning english.
His english is very good, but he does still have a bit of an accent. It's hard to tell exactly what the issue is, since most of his phonemes seem to be fine, but I think it's something to do with word stress and intonation, which are very different in Japanese
How do the Far Easterners in London and North America speak? Maybe, they influence him.
I know a lot of bilingual L1 second-generation english speakers whose L2 parents spoke english with an accent. I don't think the sora is a native speaker because of that, native bilinguals can have accents and interactions between their native languages but the effects are normally very minor (spanish 'a' becoming english 'uh' in unstressed syllables for instance, which is almost imperceptible)
Also, do they use words from their languages?
mm not really outside words that got loaned into english from those languages like 'umami'
It is hard to notice since he speaks far better than many Anglophones IMHO.
But there is something Japanese about the way he speaks; also, Japan shares many cultural aspects with North Korea despite the diffs in language.
I think speech pattern is the right word? He may be natively fluent in English but if he lives and speaks Japanese full time day to day he's going to maintain a more eastern flow of speech
My understanding is that native bilinguals tend to have native-like accents in both
That can vary according to how much exposure someone gets ofc
There's a large Mexican community in my area and the bilingual kids will speak with more enunciation and a sharper pattern than the monolinguals
I think that's what you were asking? If so, that's what I've observed
Hmm maybe I'm wrong then
I never got that perception that they had accents when speaking chinese, farsi, etc but I am of course not fluent in those languages
It depends on a ton of factors so we're probably both right
It would be kind of odd for this kind of thing to not be a spectrum
Oh well I hope we answered the question
Simultaneous bilingualism is a form of bilingualism that takes place when a child becomes bilingual by learning two languages from birth. According to Annick De Houwer, in an article in The Handbook of Child Language, simultaneous bilingualism takes place in "children who are regularly addressed in two spoken languages from before the age of two...
interesting stuff
Youâre right.
Intonation can be affected by L1.
Even if a person were to master FL intonation, they may use their native language patterns.
e.g. When Italians speak English when the topic about pasta, they may say statement while English natives ask a question.
You like pasta, donât you?
An Italian would fall his tone, while an Anglophone would raise it, both give L1 vibes, but can reveal where they are from.
I might be wrong.
Exactly.
And that is my goal with both Spanish and English.
Bilingual natives speak correctly with patterns always reveal their identity, and even without the foreign accent, it is still possible to know where they are from; they are clearer and comfier, so the goal to be like them since Iâm an Arabic native which can fastilate speaking another language.
Accents are cool
Native speaker intonation is probably the last barrier to complete fluency, one from an American perspective I don't think is really required
I'm used to accents from all kinds of native speakers, don't sweat the tiny details too much
I agree.
Thatâs why I always change mine from a time to a time.
Even if a foreigner does it right, it can be influenced by his L1.
Languages convey cultures and emotions.
Exactly as me.
I always record many accents in different languages for fun.
Most of the time I do that wrong.
But even if I do everything right:
Consonants, vowels, and prosody.
It feels Arabic for me (even if I read another personâs text) unless I mimic another person.
Afterall, emotion is different from a culture to a culture, and they influence the ways ppl speak.
No, small details donât matter as long as Sora speaks naturally and correctly.
So Japanese is a very monotone language with equally stressed syllables unless specified otherwise. It has pitch (high and low) tones but each syllable is the same length. English is not like this it is stress timed. He maintains mostly perfect English vocab and grammar but he accentuates each syllable equally, since thatâs what heâs used to living in Japan.
He also speaks rather formally
It is required in some languages.
But English being spoken widely is easy to understand even without being correct.

Our world is plentiful with convoluted ideas. So plentiful that they do not always align. Humans are the holders of such ideas. Because we humans live in society, it becomes our duty to discern the most valuable among them.
It would be reasonable to assert that the more ideas one is exposed to, the closer one is to the most valuable ones. However, common experience tells us that people do not always follow this principle, as bias often comes into play. Sometimes, prior knowledge blinds us to new thoughts. This trait is arguably part of our entrenched behaviour to evade situations that seem unworthy of our time.
Turning to the educational sphere, we should note the reference to âeducated mindsâ from Aristotle's quote. No one is born educated; it is through proper education that we become so. For Aristotle, open-mindedness is inherent to an âeducated mindâ. He praises learned individuals that remain willing to expose themselves to new, diverse ideas, even the potentially flawed ones.
It is crucial that we teach younger generations to maintain this mindset. Open-mindedness allows for new insights, fostering a culture of innovation and growth. Conversely, a lack of open-mindedness can lead to stagnation, as seen in restrictive regimes like North Korea. It also enables us to change our minds when proven wrong, preventing ideological conflicts like those that led to the Spanish Civil War. Lastly, it helps others feel heard, reducing social rejection within society.
I think it sounds good but it does sound like it is kindof written by ai
Did it take a lot of time?
Check it with an ai detector
Yeah about a week to get the engine to this point
And Im relearning C++ cause I didnt program for 6 months ish
Ohhhh
Isnât it easier to make visual games like that with python if ur not using like an engine?
It is, but less efficient, and also python does a lot of the hard stuff which I am trying to learn right now
If you use something like Pygame then every thing I have done so far is already done for you :p but Im trying to make something similar to Pygame for mysellf
Usually I do yeah
Ohhhh
Have u tried using unity
I do know ur trynan learn the hard things
I have already made games in Unity, Godot, and Unreal Engine :D
Ohhh
As a hobby, I never actually sold them but its really fun to make games imo
I have never used Godot is it good?
Yeah fr
Iâm trying to learn how to program first
Itâs fun
If you want to use a premade engine that has a ton of flexibility with very little overhead, Godot is very good in my opinion
But at the time that I was using Godot, it had limitations with graphics and "Flashy stuff" that Unity and Unreal Engine could do
which one do u like the most for like, not so basic games but also not as the same level as a AAA game
ohhhhhh
I especially prefer Unreal though because of how beautiful you can make it look with little effort, but right now Im trying to make a game that looks like it's running off of a console window, so I dont really want to use any engines for it.
ohhhhhh
yeah but i think unreal engine is for like way too realistic games or things like that
Well any engine can be used for any purpose if you know what you're doing but yeah Unreal is definitely meant for prettier looking games
Thanks :) so far its been fun but slow
yeah obviously, ur making it without an engine, but ur clearly doing great
I'm so happy with the new me I'm becoming
My journey began with a simple yet powerful motivation to retire my hardworking parents. Growing up, I witnessed their tireless efforts to provide for our family, and I knew I wanted to give back.
With faith in Almighty God guiding me, I took the leap into dropshipping. Starting from scratch, I faced numerous challenges, but my determination only grew stronger.
Through countless late nights, early mornings, and endless learning, I slowly built momentum. Every small victory fueled my passion, and every setback taught me valuable lessons.
Fast-forward to today, and I'm humbled by the blessings.
thanks

The only two bits of advice I totes refuse:
1.Moving to improve instead of the other way around because when I have a bit of money to move, I will have been able to speak all of my target languages like a native by the time (except maybe Jp since I donât give it much time like others); hence Iâll use my skills to meet natives instead of using them to improve.
2.Favouring understandability to communication and clarity, I donât mind not being like a native nor perfectly clear, but when I can be accurate and easy to understand, I wonât intentionally break rules.
@twin gust Other advice has worked perfectly.

What matter in language and makes a person fluent are:
1.Mutual understandability.
2.Factuality.
They help communicate clearly more than accents and grammar.
But I wouldnât say that Iâm at this lvl even in my own language since sometimes I share a lot of topics publicly, ppl mistakenly believe they understand, but they mistakenly think it is one topic, so they pretend not to understand me to make me more diverse while theyâve never understood me to begin with.
For sure!!!
Iâm factual and realistic which is the best I can.
Conjugating regular Spanish verbs is actually a lot easier than I thought it'd be-
I'm just worried about...irregular verbs nowđ±đ±đ„¶đ„¶..
I was going to go ahead and start making some sentences, but I should probably learn more Spanish grammar before I try that again-
Awwwwhhh so cute!!
Aaay, qué ternurita!!
CĂłmo se llama?
âLearning accentsâ is an imprecise term, yet correct.
Because learning and studying are inherently theoretical which can speed up aquisition and take us to far, but it is not how we get them.
Usage, utilisation, aquisition, and interalisation are the precise terms.
If you use an iPhone, that doesnât make you a mobile inventor, the same applies to accents, using one doesnât guarantee you getting close.
I use Indians, Sudanese, Levantines, Egyptians, Indonesians, and Filipinos with lots of work, but eventually, the outcomes are always Saudi-like, not similar to theirs.
So using somebody or something doesnât mean Iâm identical to them.
The same goes to language: I use English and Spanish, but Iâm not an Anglophone nor a Hispanic, so even if I express myself like them perfectly, Iâll intentionally make my identity crystal since that doesnât make me less fluent/native.

It is most precise to say that Iâm an Arab of an Anglophone background.

Im trying to make sentences in Spanish
Please correct me. I'm very tired and practicing verb conjugationđ
vete a mimir
"Yo toco mi gato pelaje"
Un momento
Acaricio el pelaje de mi gato
Gracias
Reminder to self, Spanish sentence structure is generally subject, verb and object (if I'm remembering that right)
with how the prounouns work it's hardly ever that clear cut
I'd watch the Spanish grammar videos, but usually the ones I find are 30 minutes and my goldfish attention span can't take itđ. You're right, I'll try to find shorter videos about that.
right, don't try to swallow more than you can chew
sentence structure isn't learned in a void
I found a Spanish grammar playlist that I'll be able to keep up with!
Yeah idk why I stopped looking for grammar videos so soon after seeing the ones I thought were really long-đ. Appreciate the encouragementđ. I'ma save this and get some rest, gn
