i like the focus on grammar because u can learn vocabulary anywhere

but whereas vocabulary is more memorization or exposure based, grammar, i feel, requires a focused study

u don’t just memorize grammar — i feel like it’s something u have to really learn

so i like that language transfer focuses primarily on that

and it’s absolutely amazing honestly

it’s not a one-way teaching method where they just teach and u just take notes, but u are actively encouraged to think through how to say things and learn alongside the example student used in the course

i highly recommend it

The thing is that religious words have both physical and metaphysical senses, but some words are restricted to supernatural senses like جنة but it is literally a garden or an orchard like بستان.

Yeah that was my point before. I was primed to be on the lookout. But it also only took me like 30s to find a trilled Spanish R, which doesn’t quite exist in most English dialects, so had I noticed that even outside of priming, I’d probably note it as slightly peculiar. There are some things that are fairly reliant indicators of having a language as an L1. Using a different phonemic inventory or breaking fundamental grammar rules are about as good as you’ll get. Not 100% reliable but yeah.

Not that any of this matters. I’d call his accent some variety of British. He sounds native.

Indians have the strong and difficult accents for that very reason. They speak English amongst themselves and not with natives.

That helps me understand others, but not the other way around.
Only the person who talks to me understands because only a few ones correct, and my age (I’m 28, so assuming that my age is 72) isn’t enough to rely on correction unless from myself or a teacher (or therapist), not any native.

I've noticed you often use phrases like 'over-rely' and 'more than enough' in situations where you're justifying your learning methods, and I don't think you have understood their meaning.

You said you over-rely on a method which you also said works well for you. This is a contradiction. If you say that you over-rely on something, you're telling the other person that there's some negative outcome, and that the extent to which you use that method is inappropriate and needs to be reduced. Since you usually use it when you're justifying your methods, it's not the right phrase.

You can't over-rely on something which you also judge to be perfect; that's just relying on something to exactly the right amount.
