i do want to ask why the r slur is not filtered / banned in this server, though. it is an ableist slur that has been used against people like me for hundreds of years, and it is completely inappropriate, no matter the context. it makes me feel uncomfortable to know that members in this server are able to use it without direct consequence, when it could cause upset, frustration or irritation for others, no matter the context, whether they are aiming it at someone or not. i was shocked to see that the slur was allowed anyway.

obviously i am not here to criticise your rules and filters in this server - i don’t own this server nor am i a part of the staff team - but i still feel hurt by the concept of this slur being allowed when it has caused upset and distress for me today.

If you don't have any native role on, you will only be able to see #📜・rules and #🙋・welcome, but you can use commands in #🙋・welcome, so you can just give yourself a native role there. I just tested that, by the way, but it was like that before too

Yeah, that's how it worked when I first joined the server as well. You just type your native language in #🙋・welcome to get your native role.

When you first join the server, you get asked what your native language is by Rai, and it automatically gives you a role based on the answer. If you are already on the server and just removed your native role, you don't get that and have to either use the commands or you can also just answer the bot's question even if he wasn't addressing you in particular.
