You are not wrong, Discord is wrong, because there is no way of knowing by typing it lol, you can only know this by using the emoji menu ||or by paying for Nitro, which is what Discord actually wants ||

Hi, do we happen to have any bots that can delete a message based on what it reads? Like, another server I am in has the bot set up to delete any message that mentions certain websites. Having something similar might be helpful to try and curb the number of scam links that are posted. There aren't many here, but for whenever we do, a bot will definitely be able to delete the link from the chats faster than a human mod/admin

So, maybe have messages with strings like "dlscord" and "discord-app" be removed which are known malicious links

We do already have a filter for those kind of malicious links such as nitro scams and steam scams, thing is that there are always appearing new kinds of websites modified to avoid this filters

You can see the full list of self assignable roles by typing .lsar, you can get any role from that list typing .iam role. Please do this in #🤖・general-bot

For example, if you want to get a dialect role (which indicates the accent you're leaning), you can type .iam Australian English

and it's the same with any other self assignable role you want!

Also, a recent incident in #🙋・welcome made think of a suggestion. You know the first role you get when you join the server? The native language role? Instead of having people type stuff in that chat to get the role, what if they had to react to something to get that role? Just a few hours ago, a new member was spamming racial slurs in the chat, idk why. Having the channel muted with just a reaction roles thing could eliminate that need altogether.

Additionally, the rest of the server can be locked to people who have at least one native role. The locked server with the non-chat welcome channel could pretty much make it impossible for any non-human spam bots to scam people or to post anything inappropriate.

This way we can have the minimum IQ pass to keep the trolls/scammers away from the real text channels

Da igual si eres hispanohablante y quieres enviar audios en inglés, o viceversa; puedes hacerlo libremente. El caso es que sean audios que estén en formato .mp3 y dure entre 15-20 segundos apróximadamente

La cuestión es que, las otras personas que decidan ayudar, quizá no sabrán con certeza lo que dice el audio, por lo que podrían dar correcciones imprecisas.
Pero bueno, si se mira de otra manera, no se necesita perfección, sino que entre todos interactuemos, por lo que si alguien da una corrección incorrecta, me imagino que otra persona podría intervenir y aclarar.

Estoy mentalizado con otra forma de manejar ese canal, pero la participación de todos es fundamental también.

nevertheless though, i still thought such a meme was lighthearted and fairly mellow, not at all different from the gang violence memes that are arguably more likely to cause someone distress

correct, i did indeed read the rules and have taken notice that i was exclusively banned from that channel and none others as it was described by the channel description, however what i'm attempting to discuss is that if this was indeed inappropriate enough to the degree in which it was handled
as for the second one i don't exactly remember what it was, but i would likely also defend it similarly if i were to have decided to have posted it here

the former was, in my view, an innocuous historical meme that was not advocating for any sort of political ideology and the leap to such required someone to think far too deeply into it and project things onto it that were never mentioned nor were intended to be mentioned
i don't view it as reading between the lines, i view it as injecting meaning that was never there initially

please understand why this is frustrating for me
once more, i'm not throwing shade at the mod, but i find this to be a mountain of a molehill

Besides, this isn’t a memes server, is a learning languages one where there is a space for memes to be posted insofar they don’t break our rules nor cause any controversy.
