I was gonna not report initially, but i really dont like this behavior. Especially with how they behaved after I attempted to inform peacefully

1. Saying something is halal/haram when its not (in Islam this is very insulting. The word halal/haram holds weight we have no authority to throw them around based on whim)
2. Following up with "Allah said so" (mocking and lying upon my god)
3. I inform the doer that this is disrespectful and insutling, they respond with "stop the cap" (no intention to cooperate or learn)
4. They went with "that’s how you go about it, you’re allowed to disagree and i’m allowed to continue my way, as allah intends" (confirmation that they will not behave and further mock)

This is mocking, disrespectful, and offensive to my faith as a Muslim.

Hey, this is a known bug with the Onboarding feature. To fix it on them end, we need to follow these steps:

• Have them leave the server
• We'll disable Onboarding
• Have them rejoin the server
• We'll give them the Native role
• We'll turn Onboarding back on
  Turning Onboarding off affects everyone on the server, so we need to check when they're available to do this

Yeah using the oauth link and generating a unique bot role for the bot is best. I think there might be a way to configure which permissions are requested when someone does the “add app” thing from the profile (if none are requested then it doesn’t make the role) but I don’t know as much about that

Here's an idea that Zamir and I have been thinking of for a long time now: For those who can't attend sesión de lectura, we should create a channel that has a new passage to read every week and users can record an audio clip of them reading it out loud. Everyone else can critique their pronunciation and discuss what was wrong or if there are other ways to say any words. It would be fairly easy to make and maintain, I just wanted to hear what everyone else thought of it and if there's anything I could add to it.

And whenever we do, we decide that while it would be cool, we'd usually rather keep the server focus to Spanish and English

There exists a Portuguese server already for people to speak there, and one of our worries is that if we make this kind of channel here, there will be people who only speak Portuguese on our server, and it will decrease overall activity in the main channels because people will start taking that as their main talking channel

I was just reading the automated #🙋・welcome message and I think there are some minority of people who get confused with it. It says "please tag yourself with one of these roles" or something along those lines. It shows the roles we need in one "group" and the countries in another "group" but it seems to be some minority of people seem to interpret it as they tag themselves with their country and that is it.
