i don't see how the dimension of the game (2d or 3d) changes what dialogue system you'd use

#

is there something you think that's relevant?

i shouldn't have said 2d game because it can mislead

#

i modified it so it is cleaner

I don't know about anything about any of them, but of you're sure you can achieve the goals for your game with whatever system you choose, just choose the most intuitive one for you.

And i was wondering if there were some other better systems for newbies like me

I know I wasn't really specific, but if you don't have anything else that you need to take into consideration I believe intuition should be the most important goal.

If someone know about this: with ink, i can make the npc say the name of the player while he speaks?

Tbh if I were to use a dialogue system I would make my own, because I like having full control and knowledge of the tools I use, and that's easy when you're the one making them, but hey that's personal preference.

About any other tools, I once was going to make my own dialogue system to maybe sell It on the assets store, and looking for references I saw this one. https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/behavior-ai/dialogue-system-for-unity-11672?srsltid=AfmBOoow61NevCgswYAkeb5Qotm_cvNA6Bum6k52BQhtIlgXIjlsAXzr

In my opinion It seems like a solid asset that covers a lot of different scenarios, but given the price I wouldn't purchase it, and I can't give my opinion since I havent tried.

Get the Dialogue System for Unity package from Pixel Crushers and speed up your game development process. Find this & other Behavior AI options on the Unity Asset Store.

If that's what you want and you can afford It then I encourage you to do so. I've personally learnt a lot by making my own systems, and asking to some Friends and partners that also work on the Game development industry if they feel those systems/tools as an intuitive toolkit or not. 😅
