Package Manager won't let me install a package from git URL

hey, i've been having a problem with the package manager for a while now. every time I try to import one of my packages via git url, I get this error message saying git isn't installed on my computer. That doesnt make any sense, ive literally pushed my changes to the github repo using gitbash

ive already tried restarting unity & unity hub, restarting the computer and reinstalling git and restarting. nothing worked.

You may need to make sure that the path to your git executable is path of your PATH environment variable.

finally solved it! it seemed that I had installed git only to work with gitbash
