#My animation only plays once.

@wanton estuary its simply because you did not exit from the animation , you should have atleast 2 animation (idle , knife rotation) and when the knife rotation animation is done you play the idle animation , and i suggest if your game is not having a complicated animator controller (like you have alot of animations) then try to use transitions and triggers
here is the shape if you would use transitions , the blue arrow is the one with the trigger checked , and the white arrow dont have any parameter , so when the animation end it will directly go back to idle

I get that, but teaching bad practices leads to bad habits because a beginner won't know why it's bad or why to avoid it. I don't know OP's experience, but others may be lurking or come across this post and think that Invoke is the also answer to their problem, and it spreads
