#Can you combine two materials?

You'll have to make both (sub)meshes use the same UVs. Then you can bake the different materials onto one texture.
Note that you will need multiple materials on your object, if you need the object to use multiple shaders.
So, i'm not sure how to do that exectly, but in general what i need here is that i want the steel parts to have a little smoothness.
Just make 2 materials and drag drop on your model
I'd suggest exporting that model so it uses only 1 material anyway.
This method doesn't work
what you mean? I can use only one material, but I decrease the smoothness because the wood seems to be wet and I don't want that, but if I do that, the metal turns into stone (this is because of the smoothness)
