I have a server setup for a few friends using paper 1.20.4 build 496 using luckperms to handle permissions and worldedit(v7.3.1) for building. I want to give my friends worldedit permissions without opping them, but luckperms isn't showing the permissions for worldedit at all, even though worldedit seems to work fine otherwise.

If I am running LP on a velocity network, should I use the same database credentials for each server's LP config? Or use a different database for each server.

Each server will have different sets of groups/tracks though so not wanting any crossover.

still having an issue with luckperms and haven't found a solution yet.

console error will read as:
[luckperms/]: User [UUID] - [User] doesn't currently have data pre-loaded, but they have been processed before in this session.

Then it'll give the user a "Invalid player data" error, and they won't be able to join. this happens to some players who have played many times before, or some who've never entered the server before.

Sometimes relogging into minecraft helped, but that doesnt work anymore, and even removing a players .dat file doesn't work either. I've tried even giving players their own perms but that doesn't work. The only thing that has worked would be removing LuckPerms entirely.

It's so strange, I've been using LuckPerms for years and never had an issue until now.

I'm on Forge 47.3.1, using the Better MC4 Modpack on 1.20.1.

Hello, my world edith does not want to work with world guard at all, I have already reinstalled everything, world credit is in conflict with lucky perms and cannot launch world guard because of this. I tried to change permissions everywhere, went through the config, reinstalled everything several times, for some reason the word edith refuses to work, even tried FAWE.

Hey im wondering how i can make it so that players cannot see commands when they are typing commands in so when you go to type in a command you can hit tab and switch between different commands. There are some on there like world edit commands.

That's EssentialsX's context providers being slow on player join (to be expected since data has to load in). It's not LP's fault.

I added contexts to the prefix (prefix.0.[Example]) (other permissions with the same contexts work) and now the prefixes don't show up in chat or tab.

Hi, I am using luckperms and I wanted to know if there is a way to give permissions from the console with FlashNPC's mod, I can make the npc execute x command, this command is executed in the console, but LuckPerms does not allow me to use the @s or @u for the player that makes the trigger when completing a quest, does anyone know how I could achieve this?

can anyone help me? im running a cobblemon server for myself and some of my friends (forge 1.20.1) After installing luckperms for my server after every player death there seems to be an issue with the server retrieving a players data. At least thats what i see. After removing LP from my server everything works fine but once reinstalled it bugs out.

LPC, despite its name, is not affiliated with LuckPerms and isn't compatible with any proxies. It's a Bukkit plugin. For Velocity plugin recommendations, you'd be better off asking elsewhere (or in #general). Alternatively, you can search in plugins repositories such as Hangar, Modrinth, etc.

Plugins resolving PAPI placeholders can do so in 2 ways - with regards to a specific player (i.e. the player you specify in /papi parse), or with no specified player ("global" placeholders is what I call them). All of LP's placeholders require the plugin specify a player (none of our current placeholders make sense in a "global" context). If it's working in /papi parse <player> but not in BSP, they're probably resolving PAPI without a specified player

You can't change the default group, however, you don't really need to. Other servers display the prefix of the group, which they set to member. You can set a group's prefix by running /lp group <group> meta setprefix <prefix> (quote the prefix with double quotes if you want to include spaces). Additionally, in order to display it in the chat (or wherever you want to display it), you need an additional plugin that does that. I'm trying to set up LuckPerms. My current set up is 3 Minecraft servers (SMP, Creative, Mini-Game) behind a Velocity proxy. Per the instructions, I get the LuckPerms-Velocity-5.4.137.jar file and throw it into my plugins folder and restart my Minecraft server. When looking at the Minecraft server starting up, I see this error:
