That is not "nothing". In some consoles, you can use a slash, in others, you must not. Based on the picture above, i suggest try with(out). Also double check that you did not add a space between luckperms and .*

Try resetting your config. Save your old one though. If that works, you likely changed meta stacking or set something like "include-global..." etc to false. There are text compare websites to make it less reading labor intensive

Luckperms doesn’t work for me. I have only luckperms, essentialsx, essentialschat, and Vault. I use paper 1.20.1. Luckperms doesn’t give me an error, rather it just says the edits have applied and everything boots up normal but it doesn’t restrict the permissions. I set my server files to default. There are people that find out about that bug and join discord server's of that plugin just to find other plugin's users and use that glitch to destroy their servers

I created a group and added the permission "essentials.spawn". I added myself to that group and de-op'd me to test.

Hello, I added this plug-in to my server to manage orders and I created the group with the right permissions that I wanted and saved it but I still do not have the permissions to use the orders on the game and I don't understand why. by the way I added myself to the admin group with the prefix that goes with it but in the game I still have the "player" prefix and not the new one even though I set the weight to 100

Alright so i verified that its not my server provider, i havent tryed reloading the server either, nor i have put a jar while its running cause that happens on every server shutdown i do. And all my plugins are active so i dont see any plugin failing to load. Now what else can it be?

This is not the case. If the user has another group either directly or inherited (say admin inherits from mod who inherits default - just as example) then permissions which are more precise will override the star
So say i have owner group but owner inherits from default. Now i give owner * in true and to default i give minecraft.command.plugins in false. Owner will also inherit the negative permission- maybe you didnt know that

FYI: LuckPerms does not display anything on its own. You'd have to install and use a mod that formats the chat/tablist in order for your LP prefixes to be shown there.

i cant give the root plugin a * because of the rest of the plugins uses. would it just be easier to install another plugin specifically for those needs where i can * the root?
it just seems real difficult to give the permissions they need unless the warps are specifically made ahead of time and not set as a /home style command

That is normal though. Warps are NOT meant to be a substitute for homes. Warps are server wide warp points that, logically speaking, server admins should control who can go there
If you want players to be able to set warps for players, consider a mod/plugin that is built for this. On bukkit, there is a plugin called player warps. It goes by categories and you can easily allow warping to each others warps but not specific admin ones.
Howerver, this is nothing to do with luckperms though.

my mysql server meets all of these conditions
only lp gives an error like this out of every other plugin thats connected to the db

@edgy lark I changed my LP connection timeout to 15 seconds instead of 5, and also changed maximum-lifetime to 1770000 (29.5 mins) since my SQL server has a max life of 30 minutes. So far no problems

I think the max lifetime is how long the connection CAN last for, before it needs to refresh. If theres no data being synced to the SQL server, why keeep thee connection open for more than 30 minutes? LP suggests making the maximum lifetime 30 seconds prior to your SQL server max, probably for some backend reason to keep the connection going properly
