LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

When I cloned clippy to make edits, I noticed that every so often the bot would just die.
Might be related to that, and not arguments given.

One of the errors I had that just killed it was something like “cannot edit message by another author” or something like that. (That’s when I setup nodemon to auto-restart)

LP bungee only manages bungee permissions, while regular LP manages server permissions, so yes that should work. But you might also want to look at a network setup

Contexts allow you to add permissions to groups and users based on some variable. For example, if you only want server A to have exxample.permission, you can do
lp group default permission set example.permission true server=server_a

LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

from the console run lp verbose record <your name> & essentials
in game try breaking some blocks (either whitelisted or blacklisted, or both!)

there are some exceptions like luckperms which don't interact with most game mechanics

Luckperms does NOT require any other plugin for it to correctly run.

Other plugins rely on Luckperms for them to get information like prefixes etc.. But luckperms itself, does not need any other plugins.
