LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

What I lack with discord ( and Guilded and Slack ) is the option to actually self-host your own chat server. I thought about Copying the discord API to a self-hostable web application, and then add a mod to discord to add own servers, but thats against their ToS

As long as its a compatible licence you can add the api to your code. GNU has a web page explaining how licence compability works
