Plugin count is not something that can measure server load effectively. 50 plugins could mean 50 plugins that add only a single command, or 50 gamemode plugins, or anywhere / any combo in between.
A better metric of server size is the expected number of concurrently online players.

It's not an error. Just open a new editor session once you apply your changes once. Refrain from using the same editor again.

just because something is red in PL, doesn't mean it should be uninstalled. Red in /pl means the plugin is disabled, usually as a result of a startup error. Simple things like improperly formatted configs can cause that

One thing you should keep in mind is that luckperms is never the plugin to display prefixes. You can preview prefix as flat text using the info commands, but luckperms has no chat or tablist config nor feature. So my suggestion is asking oraxen support or seeking a guide about that in particular. I assume cmi is your chat formatter and you want to use oraxen to replace some text from the prefix with an image. Luckperms is completely out of the equzation here

Has LuckPerms been exploited/hacked?

Most certainly: no. In most cases a 'LuckPerms exploit' is a simple case of human error, which can be avoided easily. Look below for some tips to be on the safe side.

Don't give random people full ( * ) permissions / admin permissions

While this should be obvious, a lot of times a exploit can be traced back to faulty permission settings. You should always take your time with permissions and read the plugin documentations. In 99% of all cases the plugins have documentations explaining each permission, in the rare case that the plugin you are using does not have a documentation, you could still:
A: Ask the plugin developer for help
B: Use LuckPerms verbose functionality ( !verbose )
C: Select a different plugin with proper documentation.

Do not run your server/network in offline mode

If you are running your server or network in offline mode, hackers have it really easy to steal your, or any other admins identity. While the server is in offline mode, certain checks ( which exist to prevent exactly this ), are being skipped, and the server does not verify if the person joining actually is the person they claim to be. While there may be plugins which increase the security of offline mode servers by adding things such as admin codes, you should just switch it to online to prevent the issue in the first place.

Do not download plugins from shady websites / sent by friends

You should never put anything on your server which has not been downloaded by yourself from official sources. Plugins can be infected with malware which injects itself into all other plugins, and thus is hard to remove. While it may look like a plugin has been hacked, you most certainly downloaded a modified version of it and it is not the plugin authors fault. In case your server has been infected by such malware:

1. Stop the server
2. Delete all plugins in your plugins folder, and just to be safe also the server jar file
3. Re-Download all plugins and server jar files from official websites such as SpigotMC or official plugin websites ( luckperms.net for example ).
4. Check if there have been any modifications to the permission system and remove unknown users and wrong permissions.
   if you follow these steps you should have a clean server by the end, without exploits.

Not really, as i don't use AuthMe or run offline mode servers.

An easy fix would be dumping AuthMe and enabling online-mode= true in the server.properties. Other than that, ensure if you're on the latest plugin version and check your logs for any errors/warnings related to the plugin.

EssentialsXSpawn can do that using its announce-format setting and the {UNIQUE} built-in keyword.

Hello, what is the general time period between updating on the luckperms website and updating the projects on CurseForge and/or Modrinth? I want to run a server on Aternos but the 1.20.1 version on CurseForge and Modrinth doesn't work with 1.20.2 and since it's not updated on CurseForge and Modrinth, Aternos doesn't have the latest version available.

Therein lies my problem. I want to use 5.4.104, but Aternos only has access to 5.4.102 because that's what's on CF and Modrinth. Aternos doesn't let people upload their own versions, they only link to mods they know are clean on CF and Modrinth.

That's just a generic disconnect error.
Unless there's some error in the server/client logs, it's probably some random network hiccup

That just means you took to long to join. (Default timeout is 30 seconds iirc)
You can increase that using a JVM arg on both the server and the client: -Dfml.readTimeout=180 (number is just seconds)

In general, the error just means that the client didn't send back the keepalive response in time, usually due to some network hiccup or config issue in the mix

No, no VPN. Everything is port fowared. (Using bungee so i dont need to use a VPN haha, so i dont expose my home ip as easily).

Pretty much why I proxy my servers lol
I'd say give it a look around to see if you can find any configs that might be out of whack (could also be some weird thing that fixes itself after a couple days).
A workaround could be to set up an identical bungeecord locally in your homelab and have that handle your player's connection

How to disallow EVERY single permission in luckperms for the default group, so I can add them one by one later?

You didn't have to type that twice, but oh well. I've seen lots of server admins out there set the wildcard (*) to false and assign their specific permission nodes on top of that.

In most cases, this feels like unnecessary approach as most plugins do not grant their permissions by default.

Hey, a question, when I save a permission including capital letters, it is still in capital letters wehn checking the perms using the luckperms command, but when getting the permissions of a player on the server using getEffectivePermissions(), the permission string is all lowercase. Is this a "feature" from minecraft / spigot or something with luckperms?

(Assuming Paper), yes, but there's also a clientside check for commandblock usage. You'd need to either actually op the player, spoof the op level to the client (some plugins exist to do this but they can have other unintended consequences), or modify the client to remove that restriction
Also keep in mind that there is zero restrictions on what the player can put in the command block, so giving access to command blocks should be treated as though you're giving op / the * permission to that player anyways
