Sounds like you got TAB installed, which has its own placeholders for getting prefixes from LuckPerms but this does not work in chat so you may or may not be missing the papi expansion of luckperms regardless of tab working bc again, it may use its own, or vault ones, aka completely different package

Not really. What's showing the prefix needs to support the format that will display the textures prefix, usually it's a placeholder.

Essentially, you chat plugin needs to support PlaceholderAPI to display the prefix without having to use unicodes which could break.

I am running a PaperMC Server with luckperms installed. I also have GriefPrevention, and Multiverse core/portals/nether.
My question is, as GriefPrevention needs a golden shovel to claim, I am setting up a messaging system that will post links in chat to go to all of the different worlds I set up. I don't want people using commands if I can help it. It is a server full of kiddos who use mobile, so having a clickable link will help as well. The portal links all work, and no one has to type /mv list anymore, so I can block that one so they can't warp themselves directly to the nether or end. (I want vanilla gameplay as much as possible).
The issue I am having is that they kept destroying/stealing, so I had to add GriefPrevention, and I want a clickable link to give a shovel. This link works just fine for me as I am OP, but not for them. I don't want to allow the default group ALL /give permissions, but I can't seem to just enable
/give @s minecraft:golden_shovel

It says that modifiers aren't allowed because they aren't OP, and in luckperms, I cannot do that entire command, just the /give part. I don't want them giving themselves netherite armor etc.
I hope this was not too confusing. Everything I search for just shows me how to enable the /give command, but that's not what I am going for here.

This is because the vanilla give command permission is all or nothing just like gamemode. You cant specify a subcategory or item. Again its all or nothing. Having that said, youll have to find a plugin that introduces such subpermissions or find a workaround. Maybe a gui with a console command?

I've done most of the popular "fixes" the only thing that seems to work is adding host to etc on system32 restarting, then removing again host and restarting again. Very likely that would be the problem, yes. Your LuckPerms' server: setting inside the config.yml on the Skyblock server should be set to something other than global, or else it will get ignored.

Essentially, you should have something like server: skyblock defined in your Skyblock's config.yml for the context to take effect.

Has LuckPerms been exploited/hacked?

Most certainly: no. In most cases a 'LuckPerms exploit' is a simple case of human error, which can be avoided easily. Look below for some tips to be on the safe side.

Don't give random people full ( * ) permissions / admin permissions

While this should be obvious, a lot of times a exploit can be traced back to faulty permission settings. You should always take your time with permissions and read the plugin documentations. In 99% of all cases the plugins have documentations explaining each permission, in the rare case that the plugin you are using does not have a documentation, you could still:
A: Ask the plugin developer for help
B: Use LuckPerms verbose functionality ( !verbose )
C: Select a different plugin with proper documentation.

Do not run your server/network in offline mode

If you are running your server or network in offline mode, hackers have it really easy to steal your, or any other admins identity. While the server is in offline mode, certain checks ( which exist to prevent exactly this ), are being skipped, and the server does not verify if the person joining actually is the person they claim to be. While there may be plugins which increase the security of offline mode servers by adding things such as admin codes, you should just switch it to online to prevent the issue in the first place.

Do not download plugins from shady websites / sent by friends

You should never put anything on your server which has not been downloaded by yourself from official sources. Plugins can be infected with malware which injects itself into all other plugins, and thus is hard to remove. While it may look like a plugin has been hacked, you most certainly downloaded a modified version of it and it is not the plugin authors fault. In case your server has been infected by such malware:

1. Stop the server
2. Delete all plugins in your plugins folder, and just to be safe also the server jar file
3. Re-Download all plugins and server jar files from official websites such as SpigotMC or official plugin websites ( luckperms.net for example ).
4. Check if there have been any modifications to the permission system and remove unknown users and wrong permissions.
   if you follow these steps you should have a clean server by the end, without exploits.

Would setting that player to minecraft.command.teleport = false be enough (as I'm assuming the order of operations would be parsing the Op permissions first, and then the LP permissions?)
