Hallo, I started trying to use permissions on a mc paper server with geyser and floodgate. I set some groups and permissions but it seams to me that it is not working. I made the rule * to false, shouln‘t this disable every thing in the default group but when I‘m connecting with a bedrock client user, nothing is blocked. (I used the web editor). The player was automaticly in the default group

Well, this depends what you mean by "is blocked" - there is a significant difference between "Users can see chat command suggestions" and "Users can actually send the command and it executes". Permissions are not always tied to tab completion. Also keep in mind that what you're trying might be originating from the proxy (if you have one), meaning that for example if you have luckperms only installed on a paper server but you are trying to restrict a permission that is from a plugin on the proxy, then that might be why as these two are completely different server instances.

For most permissions, they are set to default to false in the plugins themselves. So for example essentials plugins perms - none of them are actually set to true unless you use luckperms to do so. Exceptions make the rule, so there are devs who default some of their perms to true. For bukkit, you can do what pan suggested, this will set all default bukkit permissions such as the minecraft /me permission to false (aka ignores it). For other plugins, you should actrually find the permission rather than making use of *. The wildcard will definitely give you trouble further down the line, it's considered bad practice to make use of it, especially in a negative value.

When I add RGB Color codes to the prefix of a rank in LuckPerms, I do not have the colorcode in my nametag because nametags dont support RGB Color codes and TAB plugin doesn't have a script against it either. The normal color codes work on your nametag and in chat, so the color codes like &e, and rgb color codes also work in chat but not on your nametag. does anyone know a plugin to bypass this or another way to bypass this so that I can use rgb color codes in my nametag

Im using LPC and DeluxeTags to create tags, one is [ender], this one gives the error "Unable to parse palceholder" and shows up as red. i checked %deluxetags_tag% (see current equiped tag)(i used the plugin "Holo" to see) to see if it was a DeluxeTags isue but it showed up as normal and didnt give any errors, stuff like [1ender] and [ ender ] work fine, its only [ender]. Im running latest version of everything. Tell me if i need to provide more info or if theres a way to fix this isue.

I don't know any commands off-hand but they're just entities, so the regular kill command would work technically.
That being said, all armor stands would be effected by this, so by radius might be the way to go.
There might be a plugin that tracks them by UUID, but I don't know of it.

at least in vanilla, you can autocomplete the UUID of non-player entities if you are looking at it

Hi, I hope someone can help. I had TAB working with Luckperms and ranks that I setup. However I messed up the TAB config and accidently deleted it and for the life of me I cannot get it working properly anymore. I've been working this for hours without success and am pulling out my hair.

This is the header part of my TAB config.

Why not make LuckPerms work on older versions of Forge?

Forge added the Permissions API only recently in 1.18. That API is what allowed a native Forge version of LuckPerms to be made, however that API does not currently exist on older versions of Forge, and is unlikely to be backported. Without the Permissions API existing on older versions of Forge, it is impossible to make LuckPerms work on those versions of Forge natively.

There is a Sponge version of LuckPerms! You can add SpongeForge and the Sponge version of LuckPerms to use LuckPerms on older Forge versions.

there’s a gradle plugin that will publish automatically (unlike Spigot) and you can import the Spigot plugin after making an account & it should transfer it over properly

LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!
