LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

Why not make LuckPerms work on older versions of Forge?

Forge added the Permissions API only recently in 1.18. That API is what allowed a native Forge version of LuckPerms to be made, however that API does not currently exist on older versions of Forge, and is unlikely to be backported. Without the Permissions API existing on older versions of Forge, it is impossible to make LuckPerms work on those versions of Forge natively.

Is there any other option?

There is a Sponge version of LuckPerms! You can add SpongeForge and the Sponge version of LuckPerms to use LuckPerms on older Forge versions.

Just keep in mind that when you use a remote storage like postgresql or mariadb, your data will be in there, but if you have any flatfile, such as sqlite, h2 or toml, you will want to get a backup of your setup every now and then anyway. If you update your server locally, there should be no problem as long as you keep a modern luckperms.jar also. But if you move it, take a backup for sure.

LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

LP's meta system is built for stuff like this. in addition to the normal prefix and suffix, you can also set custom values, say for instance set tabprefix to whatever on each group.

You can set prefixes, suffixes and other meta data in LuckPerms for players and groups. Note that LuckPerms does not manage chat. You need to use another plugin to show prefixes/suffixes in chat.

Welp this might give you more incentive to migrate since as far as I know there's no way to do something like remove all nodes matching a pattern for only a specific user with existing LP commands.

It's possible to write something that hooks into the API to do so, but at that point you'd be spending more to make your current system work then migrating to LP for prefixes would take

All LP does is output whatever you enter where you display prefixes. It's entirely up to whatever plugin you're using to display for how it's displayed

Given DeluxeTags would have the same restriction (since afaik it works in a similar manner to LP), that shouldn't be a problem though

but if that is what does not work, putting the %player_ip% makes everything fail because when putting lp user %player_name% parent set rank it does not recognize luckperms %player_name% and with that failure it does not let the deluxe menu fulfill the function that we want the luckchat of the rank

Pues creo que el placeholder %player_name% solo sirve para mostrar el nombre del jugador, no creo que sirva para ejecutar un comando...

Let me stop you right there. This support is a privilege, not a right. Every single one of the staff members has dedicated countless hours helping people during their very limited free time. If their free time doesn't line up, then that means there might be no responses from staff for a few hours, and that's just how it will go.

Additionally, calling the staff lazy is just so far from the truth it is laughable. Luck, the lead developer, has written hundreds of thousands of lines of code over 6 years consistently. The 2 most active mods, Larry and Emily, have a combined total of over 150,000 messages on this server. I don't have stats for Turbo, the web developer handy, but suffice it to say he's poured substantial amounts of time into this project too.

Additionally, it says in no less than 3 places in the rules channel that all of the staff are under no obligation to help. I again re-iterate, everyone here is a volunteer.

Finally, the primary reason people haven't assisted you, is because this is not a LP issue. The issue lies with your DeluxeMenus setup. After I had said that, no one else saw the need to respond. I decided to be nice and help you a bit more than I normally would because I was bored.
