LuckPerms does not perform any chat/tablist formatting of its own!

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

Not saying I am correct or even know what I am doing fully. But when you mention the Bungee cord message in console it makes me think you have the wrong version of the download. Check to be sure you are not running the BungeeCord download of LP. If you are there is a part of your issue. Fix that and recheck.

I split the one server into 2 gamemodes, so the permissions were all set for "survival", but now there are 2 worlds, with different permissions.

How can I bulkedit this from server=survival to server=survival world=emerald?

hm well, you know you can just take an export and experiment with bulk so you can always revert your changes right?

in the editor, you can add a bunch of permission like that. there are only 2 rules when using the editor

1.) NEVER refresh the site
2.) NEVER reuse the same editor. as soo as you hit 'save' at the top rtight and ran the /applyedits command in your game, grab a new link with /lp editor. why? lp saves CHANGES, not the whole session, meaning all pertms you last changed will apply, and what came before will be deleted. so unless you want to yeet your setup, follow that rule

There is a serious problem on my server, I am using Buycraft/Tebex and when Buycraft/Tebex executes the Store commands it should give a rank to the user which is executed in console but the user does not get the rank, I think LP is failing in that aspect, maybe the commands via console are not working as expected, some times it works and some times it does not.

I'm losing my mind trying to fix this. Here's the story:

I configured my server with essentialsX and many other plugins. One of these was "ultra set-home" This was not compatible with essentials because the /home command was disabled in essentials and couldn't be enabled without creating a home in both plugins.

My solution to this was just delete Ultra Set Home and use EssentialsX for sethomes. However, essentials would not let me exceed 1 sethome, even when I changed the default role. After a lot a research I realized I had to use a permissions plugin to set the default role permissions.

I downloaded luckperms with the hope to simply allow more sethomes, but this took me down a rabbit hole of problems I have spent the last 5hrs trying to solve. When adding luckperms, all of essentialsX became reset. I became unable to break blocks anywhere in the server and basic commands that were enabled in essentials such as "spawn, warp, sethome, etc. became disabled. I opened the luckperm editor and enabled all these permissions, but it had no effect on breaking blocks. In addition, while warping did work, it no longer prompted the warp names so a player would have to memorize them.

After all this I had lost so much progress just trying to add 3 sethomes that I deleted luckperms from my server files. However, IT IS STILL THERE. In game I can access all luckperm commands and its still causing the same issue.

I don't even know what to do at this point so some help would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Also, Luckperms does not reset EssentialsX - Essentials allows you to define commands people can use when you don't a permissions plugin installed - This only works for essentials commands but because you installed a permissions plugin - Essentials gave control of the permissions to luckperms as that is where it is recommended to define and setup the permissions

For console errors:

Pastebin any relevant segments of the console log. If it's a startup error, this includes the entire startup log!

Other errors:

Pastebin the entire LuckPerms config file (passwords removed) as well as any other relevant files!

I still don't have access to warp, sethome, time, etc commands

those only get disabled when I downloaded luckperms

You need to add permissions for those commands

You can do /lp verbose command me /<command> to see what permission is being checked for it
