Yeah after doing some tests it looks like it is actually a plugin issue. He is treating the context as a server blacklist instead of whitelist so i get the permission on every other server instead of the one i actually want. I dm'd him already about it. Thanks for your help regardless!

i have got a problem at the sql. For this i use xampp, downloadet bundee and spigot plugin an configured them (mariadb), set namesfor all the servers.
when i set a new permission or set the parent/group for a new user, everything seems to be ok. but when i go to the next server, nothing happend there.
after that, i let open the console of the server.
the change/update follows on every server as soon as i type it in the console. So in my opinion, everything is ok.
when i check tha database, every change i can see there. when i set owner, i am owner, when i set default, there ist default.
but when i switch the server, all old settings will be loadet 😦 where is my fault? :-(anyone that can help me?

It depends how the plugin is made. Lets take essentials for an example. For kits, you need essentials.kits as well as essentials.kit.whateverkit. So here, you need the base perm and the kit specifically, but using essentials.kit.* grants access to all kits
However, essentials.kit by itself wont work, because it needs a specification of either the parent .* meaning all kits or the kitname

Firstly it's about the Velocity implementation:
If you check permission through Velocity's basic hasPermission method while the ServerConnetedEvent is running, the context does not appear to be correct.
Basically when you connect to the new server the context is still set to the old server. The problem is that I cannot use the ServerPostConnectEvent because there are certain packets between these events that I have to change.
My question is can the context be changed to the new server in this state?
By the way it works in the bungeecord implementation.

Instead, please carefully read the information given below.
LuckPerms cannot respond to the request because to do so:
- it needs to lookup user data for '6fe7bb82-83b2-4ef4-b130-3055a63d8abc' (an offline player) from the database
Performing this lookup on the main server thread would cause your server to lag.
There are two solutions to this problem:
a) Ask the author of the plugin making the request to perform Vault calls for
offline players "asynchronously" (using the scheduler). Additionally, prefer
using the methods that accept 'Player' or 'OfflinePlayer' instead of usernames.
You should be able to identify the plugin making the request in the trace below.
b) As a server admin, you can disable this exception by setting 'vault-unsafe-lookups'
to true in the LuckPerms configuration file. However, please use this only as
a last resort.

I am trying to set the perms for the moderators to use /lp user parent set. But I only want them to set to one of the first three. I have tried various permissions and it allows the to set anyone all the way up to admin or owner group. How do I limit the permission to certain groups?

Then the issue is that you are most likely trying to build/break blocks in the spawn.
So you'll need to adjust the spawn.protection setting and set it to 0 in the server.properties file

That would be because you have no tablist plugin or one that isn't configured right.-
Then you should know the drill ;)
LP does never ever ever change chat or tablist. So if something doesn't work there, its definitely 100% that plugin's fault/misconfiguration as long as the prefix does properly show in /lp user <name> info.

Firstly it's about the Velocity implementation:
If you check permission through Velocity's basic hasPermission method while the ServerConnetedEvent is running, the context does not appear to be correct.
Basically when you connect to the new server the context is still set to the old server. The problem is that I cannot use the ServerPostConnectEvent because there are certain packets between these events that I have to change.
My question is can the context be changed to the new server in this state?

Okay, so what I think would be the solution to your issue is stacking. You can display multiple top prefixes, from different tracks.

using advanced portals to upgrade players group using luckperm v5.3.85 when they pass through the portal but the command is shown to be done by the player not the server has anyone run into this issue
