Hello, i have 3 tracks, default, donator and staff. donator inherits the highest default group. and my staff inherit the highest default group. However when a player has a default, donator and staff group only one prefix shows and its normally the donator prefix. The only way to show the staff's prefix is by staff inheriting donator ranks. All groups have weights in the obvious order of default lowest and staff highest. This also happens when using meta-formatting. Anyone know why this is happening?

!bungeecheck if your running bungee, otherwise as long as you dont give minecraft.command.op, you should be good. in theory, nobody (including you, assuming you own the server) should have any luckperms permissions, as there isnt much of a reason to change permissions frequently, and if you need to manually promote someone along a track or give a group, just use the console

So this is what's happening. I don't have any other Servers in the bungee yet so it's not a different server being configured wrong. Also checked the configs according to clippy's response. Whatever he's using to connect with the 0 uuid it somehow makes LP just pass the command through and give him the * permission. That shouldn't be possible

Just checked: both the user and his IP do not appear on the bungee. so idk what this client does on join. the mc server itself is listening on 127.0.0.1 only so he can't just connect by guessing the correct port on a selfmade bungee.
there might've been a ping by that user but since i disabled those in the config, i cant see that.

that db is literally on the other side of the world so get a closer one? Ideally on the same machine, if you are using a VPS/dedicated machine you can host the db yourself in there; if you are using a hosting provider to host your mc server they usually provide databases themselves a few clicks away

Es preferible que sean numeros grandes, de 10 en 10 o incluso de 100 en 100, si en el futuro quieres agregar nuevos grupos los puedes poner en el medio en vez de tener que reorganizar todo

My friend you have been victim of a network exploit. There is an exploit on improper network setups (particularly cracked/offline mode ones); I don't know the exact details on how it's done (or any tbh) but what they do is totally bypass the proxy to join the server directly and join with the UUID 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 which is considered console
General suggestion is to:
a) Set up a firewall
or b) Use BungeeGuard (easy way out)
If any of those 2 is properly set up, you will be forcing them to join through proxy and thus authenticating

They pinged the server and got the ip and used Tlauncher (cracked launcher) and asked the owners ign, and they used the owners ign and logged on and raided it
Because there was no Bungeeguard they were able to raid the server
and TIL you can search UUIDs as target for lp log userhistory <uuid>/lp log recent <uuid>

Hi, I believe that I've switched my permissions to MySQL, and when I join my lobby server (the server where I configured permissions) everything worked fine, and when I used the "/lpb user (USER) info" command, it showed my permissions as present, but when I enter my survival world, even though /lpb works, my suffix doesn't show, why would that be? Is there a way I can check LuckPerms is connecting to my MySQL server? Many thanks!

I have a bungeecord hive setup with 3 servers. (1 bungee, 2 spigot), all of which have LuckPerm plugins setup and configured to synchronize through a database.
But... I can't use bungeecord commands at all, I just added a lobby plugin for bungeecord as well and I can't use those commands either.
Any commands that come out of bungeecord just deny me permissions even though I have myself set to receive all permissions. I have been screwing around with this for the past couple hours and scouring forums like a mad man and I can't fix it.

Okay, I hit another dead end.
My method I just tried failed, with verbose enabled on me inside the server, it was showing me permission nodes for all commands EXCEPT the bungeecord ones that I cannot get working.
I also enabled verbose in the spigot server consoles and the bungeecord commands that I can't get to work just come up as unknown commands and verbose doesn't do anything with it.
Am I supposed to enable verbose in the bungeecord console?

the only reason that error happens for a player is that they are not authenticating properly
there's nothing LP does that handles authentication, but it does rely on it
You need to find which setting is wrong in the affected server, or maybe just one player is connecting from a false proxy

I suggest you backup your perms with /lp export <any_name_here>
then delete all your db tables in your new db
And let luckperms recreate it

But easiest to make it work is delete all tables from your new dB and let luckperms regen it
so stop your server and dB, delete tables, start everything again
