Hi guys, I installed LuckPerms on my 1.16.4 server but none of the commands do anything. The plugin does load properly, it's just the commands that do not work. They do not provide any type of error or anything, just no output. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Worst case scenario, remember that often there's files outside of the server folder that are essential to the server, such as a MySQL/Postgres/Mongo database ¯_(ツ)_/¯

But your issue does seem to be your plugins/LuckPerms/libs folder being owned by Root (perhaps after starting the server as root), and you being locked out of sudo.

LuckPerms only acts as the source for prefixes / suffixes, it doesn't actually apply them. You need an appropriately configured chat/tablist formatting plugin for them to be displayed. If the values appear correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

When working on live mysql databases (if you have to - avoid at all costs if you can), in the future, I'd reccomend using a transaction (https://www.tutorialspoint.com/mysql/mysql-transactions.htm) as a safety net so you can undo if something like this happens again

As for the data, I'm not sure if the web export/import function works for the editor. Probably doesn't. Do you know what table in specific you deleted?
