the animations in the game are all procedurally generated, so the technique i used can be applied on any enemy that requires it
but i used filth as the initial
and there is still the death ragdolls to be fixed, these require complex tuning with the underlying math
i used cool math techniques to mod ultrakill enemies into moving like actual psx game charecters, crunchy. However this is still not complete, further additions must be made

the two level editors that work currently are Rude and Ultraeditor. Rude is more powerful but is basically just unity, for that look in pins it should be the third down. Idk if Ultraeditor works with fraud, i havent used either at all yet so thats all I know.
ultraeditor hasn't been updated yet (on thunderstore at least)

To make it easier to find the error message, you have to check when you start cg with that track
atleast you will confirm that it is the same error as mine, so u will know what is the issue

How do I go about making an ultrakill custom level? I have a grand total of 2 featureless walls, and an equally featureless floor. I have no idea what to do and don’t know where to start

Just started playing rogue mode and got to floor 12. Ended up getting jumped by two minos' and comboed into Oblivion.
I’m considering making a short, simple level concept to start with, the idea is it’s a bunch of consecutive cramped rooms with relatively simple encounters. I realize I have no skill and making a congruent level with a perfect overarching theme along with unique and interesting set design and complex geometry is beyond me as of my current skill level, so a simple level that focuses on combat would be the ideal first level to make.

as far as i know, steam cloud automatically syncs after every time you close the game
and if syncing fails and there is a difference between local save data and cloud save data then it will ask you which one you want to keep

hi, i've been playing modded for a while now but for the first time my cybergrind started breaking, basically when i get into early 30s some times the waves just break and won't spawn all enemies (or wont spawn any in some cases) which effectively softlocks me, does anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it ?

in my experience, if you have any mods that spawn extra enemies, you should disable them for the cybergrind since they tend to break
most spawning mods have a setting for such

quick question about custom levels, do any that came out before & havent updated since the release of fraud actually work properly? a few ive tried havent let me move after spawning in, so i figured id just ask if something about fraud is know to have caused them all to brake
i've seen only galleries at the end of the world and the weird limbo remix are like that

Here are a few ideas:1. New Arm: "Precursor of the First War" (Green)Concept: A rusty, industrial hydraulic claw with a serrated bayonet. Found as a secret in 0-0 (challenge: use only Red Alt Revolver).Mechanic: Stabs enemies for -20 HP. Once impaled, V1 slowly leeches blood (5 HP / 3 sec).Risk/Reward: It’s slower than standard healing but provides a guaranteed survival tool during chaotic reloads or boss downtimes.2. The two dlls you will have to get are Assembly-csharp.dll and UnityEngine.UI.dll
They can be found in your Ultrakill folder in Ultrakill_data/managed I think?
Assembly-CSharp.dll is where the game's code is and that's what you'll want to decompile to see the code
In general Ultrakill mods rely on "harmony patches". What they do is inject code at the beginning (with a prefix), middle (with a transpiler), or end (with a postfix)
I'm oversimplifying but that's the idea
Once you compile your project with these updated dlls, try testing the mod and see in the console what's crashing
That will give you a clue as to which patch is having issues, and then you can check in the decompiled code of the game why that issue is happening (like a function not existing anymore or acting different)

I'm near finished implementing this unity asset that can be used to automate any rotation or movement in unity into a crunchy stop-motion like animation. I wanted to implement it on ULTRAKILL and tested it on a few enemies and that was initially what I did until I realised the code's base is fragile so I had to refactor it as a standalone asset I could then try to inject into the game later on, anyone willing to work on this (as an ultrakill mod)? I'll mostly implement it on only the animated characters that need it and character's that turn full ragdoll when they die, including their individual body parts as they follow physics too
Best part about it is that you don't really need to reanimate anything the curve does its business for ya
If someone wants to work on this I really hope you understand how the game deals with the bodyparts of dead enemies, because that part was very confusing

- would it be possible to make a system to preserve certain colliders? [what i assume is] the cleanup of colliders causes issues with the shield laser explosions of this skybox when reloading the cybergrind

you can generally distinguish the ones caused by the game though

i think you can generally just guess a lot of the time
here it seems to be during the mod loading process so its a bit harder but you can generally narrow it down to something related to configgy (not necessarily the mod itself, probably another mod relying on it)

best u can do is just disable all portal rendering
Optimization is probably the hardest part of coding anything. It' really just making something work in the simplest and most efficient route that takes the least amount of effort by a computer. But this can be difficult to do as it requires a good grasp of computers, and coding. It's especially difficult with more complicated things (Like portals).
If portals are ever optimized more in the future the main devs will likely be the first one's to do it as they actually coded the game and have probably the best grasp over the games code.
Honestly i was impressed. I say this because a independent developing team at the scale of new blood making working, and seamless portals in a game engine like unity, pushing said engine to it's limits is already impressive. I do hope portals are optimized more in the future regardless though, but i do think it was inevitable that they would face optimization challenges.

I hope that layer does use portals as it's such an intersting thing. But i think they should be used in a far tamer way compared to layer 8. In way's that don't just throw the player into a nightmare of confusion. (Mostly cause fraud already did that, but i think layer 9 would be better off without that confusion).
