An issue I run into when writing Nightwave is it better to have him be aware that his vigilantism isn't exactly always morally exceptable and his actions are a nessarey evil and have him question those actions or have him think he's in the right and being ignorant to the fact that justice isn't black and white.

Yeah so the "Fallen" part of aces is that all the characters have fallen from grace in one way or another, ace or not. Mike and Nightwave are similar in ways as they are vigilantes and are trying to unravel a mystery. Both have become EX for different reasons.

Yeah we'll explore different parts of their characters without trying to be too heavy handed about it, it is a game after all.
Without spoiling to much,Mike is roped into this plot against his will and Nightwave wishes to "aid" him. But that's also because Nightwave also knows Mike has a history with the criminals he's fighting against and feels that Mike is partially responsible for there creation and feels it's Mike's responsibility to own up for his actions and clean up his own mess.
Somebody brought up detective stuff. Mike is an ex detective, in the game you'll have some opportunities to look for clues and things giving you a lil more insight into what's going on. Things like notes, things Mike's notices and environmental storytelling.

One of the reasons I hopped on working with Dillon with Gloomwood is because I'm a big thief fan, the main reason being I love the way it tells its story. Which is through lots of in game details like overhearing convos, text, environmental detail etc.

Yeah so one big diff that makes us stand out a bit from other throwbacky type fps games besides the melee combat is how the game is designed, it's more open ended allowing you experiment how you wanna play each level.
Levels are non-linear and you can approach them different ways.

Yeah trying to be isimmy as possible while trying to do it's own thing. For example, the level we have been developing for the demo (the nightclub) has multiple ways to enter it, once inside you'll have multiple objectives to complete, some optional, but you can do them in any order you wish. Once you are done you can head out and end the mission.

i've been playing that goldeneye and perfect dark hack with KB+M and i still cant get over the fact that you get extra objectives on harder difficulties
i always thought that was such a perfect way to do it
i love games that have really complex objectives
or honestly just any objectives at all, i always prefer the objective gamemodes in multiplayer games as well, over just straight deathmatches

Yee the demo will have some objectives to complete. Some are easier to complete than others, sometimes clues will help get hints on how you can complete them.
Obv it's up to you how ya wanna do combat, straight up fight or sneak around, do use random crap lying around like bottles and pipes or do you get creative and drop a chandelier on somebodies head? IF you are lucky you might find a gun stashed somewhere and change the odds.

Yeah it's all about YOUR strategy, sometimes there are alot of gangsters in area that can kick your ass and you might be low on health, so if you wish you can sneak past em.
