Off topic but on topic, I think it’s important for a game like this to have “fun” elements in its story to keep in from being too self serious and pretentious. I typically like games that wink at the audience a lil bit. Like a setting that has a cyborg mob boss and pulp heroes straight out of an old comic book seems like it wouldn’t work well together but somehow it does.
For some reason dieselpunk, gangsters, pulp heroes and noir mash together pretty well.
I’ll stick stuff in the game that I know is kinda dumb but it’s fun, and fun is entertaining.

Plus it's easier to produce, I don't have to worry about relying on knowledge for things like modeling. I can also have a lot more expression in character's movements.

Def by artstyle and setting, less so by the art style and combat. Yeah, I hope the rebalance the combat and ai a bit in the remaster. It's unplayable on the OG version without the rags to riches mod in my opinion.

vanilla kingpin is always going to be underrated and misunderstood because of how beginner unfriendly it is, it doesn't tell the player fuck all at first and so everyone takes away "wow this is bullshit" from their first playthrough

Ooof no. Un-upgraded weapons do like no damage at all, all enemies can hitscan you to death in like 2 seconds. On top of that the tommy gun takes like a full magazine to kill any bullet sponge enemy. I like to have fun when playing a shooter, not feel like I'm doing a chore.
Never thought it was confusing, just not fun.

If it's taking full tommygun magazines to kill enemies that's what I'm talking about with people misunderstanding the game
Unless you're playing on real mode or something it only takes 14 rounds to kill a 100 HP regular thug
The pistol / shotgun / Tommy are all about closing the distance as much as possible and rushing in on enemies so that they catch all your pellets

To keep Fleetwood Mac's story relatively concise, they had some drama in 1974 about a fake version of them going around, then when they got really popular in 1975, they had some spicy relationship drama where there was a point where most of the band members were cheating on their partners. Then after some time for the strife to worsen, there was a physical altercation between two of the members right before a tour, causing two people to be replaced.
