the game looks good at 50% res scale if you disable antialiasing and tick the chunky pixels button. and it makes a huge difference in framerate

i have a weak laptop that runs AE better at 50% res scale on high/epic than at 100% res scale on low

and i think the 2x pixelization actually looks really good. i use it on my desktop PC even though it could handle 100% easily because it looks nicer in my opinion

50% res scale means the image the game renders is actually half as wide and half as tall but it's streteched to your full screen, basically

if you tick the "chunky pixels" box that means it won't try to interpolate pixels when stretching, it just takes the nearest pixel always

50% res scale with chunky pixels just means 2x pixelation

It's better than Dusk's pixelation because it actually improves your framerate by a lot LeonApproved

My computer can easily run the game at 100% resolution scale but I noticed that there are some sexy dithering effects that are more noticeable at 50% scale
