moving and flickering dynamic lights can be mental on any computer, prodeus level editor made me find that out by the hard way
i don't understand anything about videogame light baking but my crude assumption is dynamic lights with too much baked cycle data can overload even pretty high end systems, an example would be a light source paired to a mover function with a flicker value with a cycle of more than 20 seconds or something, it's kinda like baking a cake bigger than the oven, not gonna work right, i like to call that baked ray tracing : )

so yeah, low geometry still can make very complicated shadows, and also there are some odditys in the matrix, sometimes a brush that you think got nothing going on completly brakes the game somehow, on trenchbroom 2 some unusual geometry even if very low poly can sometimes murder the VIS system, unrelated to light baking but somewhat in the same park.

I saw Leon Zawada at a Chinese restaurant in Wellington yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the boxes and started ringing it up multiple timed, he stopped her and told her to ring them up each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she rang up each box and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

you could feasibly do a no WASD challenge with AEBABY on against the Twin Terrors
i say feasibly and not easily because once you're knocked out of the bubble by their charges you're dead since you can't strafe towards the platforms if you're unlucky (and you usually are)

i think that if someone believes the star of torment makes the whisper's edge obsolete, they aren't using the whisper's edge enough
if you hit two enemies with one swipe, you're already being more mana efficient than with the star of torment
also it's the most consistent damage source

In fact half the enemys in the sun level can't really handle the axe
It certainly helps than the axe can one or two shot a good deal of enemies in the game. And it pulls them towards you making it more effective to one or two shot them.

What's a void splitter
The void splitter is the DLC’s BFG. It’s a scythe that seems to normally shotgun blast railgun shots but in soul mode splits open reality and puts you and enemies in a void, where you can instakill them by cutting with the scythe. Or at least that’s the best I can describe it with the footage of it we have
