So I've been trying to get the windows version of Amid Evil working on Linux
But I got it through GoG not Steam, so Proton isn't an option and while it runs on Wine, it has lighting issues and awful framerate that makes it unplayable
Any suggestions for things I could do to make it work properly?

No idea if this would work, but there's software that emulates windows. The reason for it is probably for testing if something is a virus by creating a sealed off version of windows where you won't lose a computer, however it'd be kinda stupid if there weren't versions that work on other operating systems, so you might be able to do that. You'd probably need to supply the program files yourself if it's a newer version you're using (which you probably are). If you are using a version that isn't supplied by the people that make the emulator (maybe because of wanting to avoid the wrath of microsoft's lawyers), test if you can at least transfer the files over.

Please keep in mind that I know very little about this type of emulator, and only know that windows emulators exist because I watched some video of a guy using the emulators so that he could keep his computer safe while obliterating different versions of windows through downloading copious amounts of viruses (Do not do that, even with a virtual machine that should protect your computer. Just search it up on youtube, and you'll get results.).

I thought there is like an option to unlock the next world without beating this one or some way to teleport myself to the bossfight because this episode is not fun at all.
