You know what games had bad background textures? REmake, and the patch was well made to solve the problems and make everything consistent. Amid Evil already has consistent textures across the board for high resolution displays

Usually not. If they aren't software rendered, but just textures like normal textures. Gigapixel AI is black magic. You can use 240p images from PS1 era like RE3 and upscale them to fit your screen and they will look amazing and detailed without artifacts
