Go into the Nvidia Control Panel and set it to use your Nvidia GPU only, by default it will try to switch between using the integrated Intel GPU and the Nvidia GPU, but that can cause some issues because Windows isn't very good at it, so it's best to just force it to use the Nvidia GPU always.

ok, weird bug that just happened right now: last time i played i finished the 3rd episode, at this very moment i wanted to play on and pressed continue but for some reason the game loaded up the darkness episode which is the last episode if im not mistaking... load menu shows me a save file on the descent into darkness episode which was created the moment i opened the game... very strange

I also noticed a bug in the 3rd episode. So like, it's in this bit with some water, and the water itself, if you go to the sides of it, you sort of fall as though you were walking regularly. Also the water filter you normally see in water sometimes disappears. I've got a screenshot of where it's at, so you can see for yourself.
So you're sorta walking around on foot underneath the water.
Also this bit in episode 2. If you step too close to this wall, enemies can hit you through it. I don't mean to nitpick, Amid Evil is a fantastic fucking game, even though it's got some jank.

just finished out the game, those last 3 episodes are definitely a trip. all of the maps are gorgeous visually. definitely felt the challenge ramp up and I was breaking out the Aeturnum much more often than in those last couple of episodes. some moments that irked me but that's probably due to my poor play. will probably watch some more experienced people before I hop back into it. gonna go hit up Civvie's vid now. also Andrew's music was excellent as always

I gotta say this
The first level of Arcane Expanse is... Possibly the best looking, and most enjoyable level I've played in a video game
In a very, very long time
It is absolutely stunning. The Void, I actually didn't like it all that much. I don't know, maybe I just wasn't into it? Plus I'm really fucking bad at games
But it was good, it had some good fun parts and setpieces
But Arcane Expanse? Masterpiece
The ending was quite good as well. Ol' Four-Eyes has a really cool, otherworldly design
Might sound like a major chump. But I'd love to see more of the world of Amid Evil.
I am so glad I didn't spoil Amid Evil for myself before playing it through.
And it feels really satisfying to have beaten it.

the void has several sections that has you fighting pitched battles against tough enemies while perched on narrow staircases or bridges
that's not really fun
a few other episodes have that too
in the void, I think it could have been almost completely mitigated by making one change
when the champ falls off the edge, warp him above the area instead of returning him to specific platform. so, make it like asteroids
that would have added the ability, in certain areas, to make the battles super vertical. basically you fight these enemies while falling all over the place
basically, falling wouldn't be annoying, it would be on purpose

It would make it a case of redesigning those levels to better fit such a concept, but I will say that the Void was generally quite aggravating more than anything even if I did enjoy the final boss.
The Arcane Expanse to me really seems like the level designers wanted to make their dream level for a video game.

I go to delete a save and it pulls an endless list of autosaves
but the scroll bar continues to get smaller and smaller. I scroll down and see it start repeating hard saves, as if it's endlessly looping them.
I pick an autosave and delete it, but it doesn't actually disappear. I guess the only option is to ||NUKE||
