for some reason with my config, temporal AA doesn't turn off unless I turn it on and off again

regardless, i don't think MSAA is a useful feature in a deferred rendering game
DSR looks neat though
won't post screens since it's just a higher res with no AA
conclusion
not streaming: use your native res, no AA;
if it's too aliased/pixelated, use DSR
streaming: use native res or downscale in your display settings (not encoder settings), consider temporal AA at low or medium settings; high if your encoder is chugging along

i love the visual style and atmosphere but the platforming is not satisfying
it's not satisfying because you have to fight during
so the enemies are airborne and you're trying to navigate tiny precipitous ledges
and constantly shifting view between the ledge and the enemies
unless you memorize and can navigate the floor pattern by trial and error, you're constantly trying to balance those two things

but the way i gamed the forges episode wasn't as satisfying

are you implying there's a more optimal way to play that i haven't noticed?
i'll use an example, there's a section of that episode (don't remember the map) where you have to walk on a ledge in 3 straight sections at 90 degrees to each other, and the last section has two parallel cylindrical stones that roll back and forth next to a blue switch
the ledge is above some kind of hazard and once you cross the first straight section, the flying things that shoot sawblades at you appear from above
i find the safest and most consistent way to play that section is to trigger the enemies, then walk back to cover away from the flying sawblade things and snipe them from the corner
you can't do a lot of risky back and forth jumping around the ledges because they're too small
and there's no point in crossing the second section because it's parallel to the line of fire and leads to another hazard
so i don't see how to play this area without doing it the safe and boring way
like, every other episode you can navigate the geometry like you're playing DeFRaG
this one is very stop and start
not to say it's bad though, i still enjoy it a lot
i shouldn't say 'unsatisfying' but i'm not sure how to accurately communicate the relative enjoyment of each world without using absolute language
