1. that figure isnt present outside of the Voidsplitter's attack and thats kinda creepy

I've gotten past the first episode Astral Equinox on hard difficulty pretty easily. Thinking about going on Evil Difficulty but I'm not entirely sure. How often and how long does the average player get stuck playing through the levels? Does it get boring? I don't want to burn out since I plan to play dusk after this.

First few episodes are easier

Game gets harder as it goes along

Each episode has entirely new enemies with new mechanics, so Hard may definitely end up kicking your ass on some episodes. If you're a 1337 gamer like me who plays a lot of these types of games on the hardest difficulties pretty well then you might find Evil to be more suited. Quick save often, search out secrets to make sure your health and ammo is good, and if it gets too much just drop difficulty.

Also if you plan to play Dusk next, just a piece of advice, play Cero Miedo difficulty, not Duskmare (hardest).
Duskmare is get hit at all = instadeath. Literally.

That's how i feel about knights. Good wall, but not immediately threatening. More painful in warrior where void access isn't as common.

i played on warrior and just ran past them in the fortress level

actually there was no mana of any type around, yet alone purple

that whole map was a rush for me because i kept running into guys while having no mana

so i had to just run

anyway knights are just better to leave alone, fighting them isn't worth it

though orange mana isnt very useful for anything else so you might as well use like 10 of it to kill 1 knight

but it will still take ages and be dangerous so why bother

i played on warrior evil because i hate myself

it actually wasnt bad except for when i didnt have mana for anything in the fortress

also didnt find the voidsplitter the first time i fought the thunder spirit

warrior mode has the benefit of also refilling your health on level start, which is nice because not all level starts have health around

i think it's a good mode, i enjoy it more

it mixes well with 9 large levels

maybe the optimal way to play fortress on warrior mode is to not kill the knights at the start and just save the voidsplitter for later xd

positives of Warrior mode is that it pushes you to explore maps deeper, search for secrets as you progress through the level, and stop saving mana for later and utilize as much of it as possible because by the end you will lose it anyway.

I'm really amazed by the first level of Arcane Expanse aesthetics wise, i think the game finally hooked me in

Man I think you skipped some episodes because the arcane expanse is intended to be the 6th episode,the intended order is on the codex if you want to see it,but yeah if you dont want to play them on order it doesn't matter,but you will experience some huge difficulty spikes

well, you need to sway from side to side in order to avoid blocks as they are being thrown in your direction. i wouldnt say you need an INSANE reaction, just pay attention to him.
