In my headcanon Dusk is neighbored by Centralia Pennsylvania, and Nargle was the real culprit behind the Centralia coal fires.

In this alternate universe, Centralia, Dusk, and Ashland have all been evacuated under the guise of the coal fires in an attempt to cover up the existence of a hostile extraordinary threat.

there was a delay due to lotcheck issues that pushed the release out several weeks

well several really

it took us a long time to sort out region issues (specifically new zealand because they are highly bureaucratic) and then we had to repackage the game for use as a multicart (because the game includes dusk and dusk82) which had some other small issues requiring patches

On a similar note, are there any plans to add a free-to-play online multiplayer battle royale mode to DUSK 82 as well, with microtransactions for DUSKCOINS™ to obtain cosmetics and skins for weapons? Of course this would be after Activision or EA forcibly pried the DUSK license from New Blood. New content updates would be separated into seasons, each introducing a few new skins and underwhelming maps. Criticism of any kind would (preferably) be ignored, with the devs instead focusing on raising the prices of the previously mentioned microtransactions, and after a ton of backlash, make a statement on Twitter talking about how "We felt the previous prices of DUSKCOINS™ were too low considering the value they offered to players." Also, the game would need to be connected online to play even the Single-Player aspect, which at this point would be riddled with bugs thanks to neglect from devs, and several fan-made patches would need to be installed in order to make it function again, and those mods would be repeatedly taken down by EA/Activision saying that they violated some legal mumbo-jumbo even though they didn't.
