I think HUD +- stuff should carry over between levels in general. If I want to turn the HUD off I have to do it at the beginning of each level, and the buttons can't even be rebound currently

The +- thing just feels like a debug feature currently

Not a huge part of the game but it'd be nice to be have the option to start every level with a disabled HUD

Amid Evil also has HUD+/- but it's rebindable and isn't forgotten on level change

i went and read through it to get the gist

the thing is, youre altering the aspect ratio when you do that, and the hud size is constrained, so it will have to scale in some manner

there are definitely more ideal solutions overall, i agree, but with the way things currently are set up, especially with unity's garbage UI system, its probably best the way it is

however, when we get around to adding it to the SDK version of the game, which doesnt use the same UI system, its something that could be addressed

and this is the case with the HUD level issue as well
