you can even fight the final boss with it!!!

it has a really jank hitbox for melee

but that's because you're not supposed to melee lmfao

and yeah it gets troublesome versus flying enemies, such as Bone Balls and Bone Monks

and E3M7 is a mess on a Sword-only run LMFAO

but it is undisputably the most powerful melee FPS I've ever seen, and I've played against thousands of demoknights in TF2 lol

I really like what quake achieves with its palette but 4 episodes all using the same colors feels like a bit too much of the same

real only complaint is boss battles are meh and no new guns in later chapters but you guys have probably heard that before

Even if it's a smaller number of total weapons, I much prefer the way every one of Dusk's weapons is unique and has its own flavor to the way a lot of modern FPSes shower you with new guns throughout the game but they're all just assault rifles with very slightly different stats that all blend together.
