CM isn't "normal" difficulty, the game clearly intends I can take it to be the default. It even tells you CM isn't recommended on the first playthrough

The wiki looks pretty correct, they even use the symbol for approximate, I think they just mean that there is a bump up in speed and damage per difficulty

Hey all, just trying to install some dusk mods and I'm a little confused on where I've gone wrong

I've installed the mods correctly in the sense that they show up in-game and I can load them

but there's no textures to any of them or anything

I'm guessing that's because I've just dropped the .bsp files into the map folder, but having the whole map folder in there doesn't seem to fix it

Any advice for this scrub would be appreciated

sounds like you might not have a palette file in with the mods

you can download the quake palette here

and put it in the folder above your maps, and it should be fine

don't seem to be able to post the screenshot, but to explain: i'm trying to install the DERAILED map. i have the sdk/mnt/local/duskmaps/maps folder. i have the .bsp placed inside that /maps folder, along with the DERAILED folder itself

loading up the dusk sdk lets me load up the file, but then any of the stuff associated with the map doesn't seem to load with it

No need to make a duskmaps folder and merge stuff around
