i took a girl to see matrix reloaded, and she was confused as hell lol
that ending had me lost in the matrix too
π
btw Oscars r on
Amy madigan won best supporting actress
Kpop demon hunters best animated feature
One battle after another best casting
yeah i have it on in the background just checking the updated list
i think frankenstein won best costume & makeup
kinda pulling for sinners to win best pic
wouldn't be mad if pta won his first Oscar tho
i dont think jordan should win best actor
yeah
even though i didnt really like this film that much
i thought it was just ok
timothe not winning
ive only seen bugonia, so im pulling for emma
same
who you got?
leo
I don't think I watched a movie that came out last year
not bad, i was kind of mad how they did him in that movie @glass oak
i think this is why sinners got so many nods
a tie?
how?
2 winners for short live action films
oh what
the singers and two people exchanging saliva both won
Brazil 1977, a time of great mischief.

yeah
That shit timmy said lost him this award
But it's basically 3 people competing for best actor
Leo, Timmy, Wagner Moura
my point exactly
what did he say?
he said no one watched ballet or opera, which is why he chooses to be in movies
nah
opera is mad popular
ballet too
it's big
I take my girl once in a while
Jesse Plemons should've been nominated for best supporting actor
his disrespect has gone too long
he's one of the best actors in this generation
he was the best part of bugonia
what even was that bit with chris
it didnt land at all
Avengers anniversary
Yessir
didnt know that one battle was adapted lol
Same
Obaa wins
One more
They sweeping
nothing is original anymore
it got me thinking
what was the last original blockbuster
tenet?
streaming movies don't count
tatum saving the bit
Please kick these two off the stage
Top Gun 2
sinners
Still counts
sinners won

he got one at least
oh
i just checked he didnt win for it though
it won best actor and best cinematography
it went up against no country for old men
tough break
damn that rob reiner tribute @granite belfry
I still can't believe how he and his wife died. RIP
Damn avatar
Same
AVATAR LFG
yea i mean im not surprised

kimmel taking multiple shots at trump
he still looked like tony to me with the glasses on
sinners won best music
ludwig just wins man
just wow
f1 wins best sound
Nice
no he's just the goat
OBAA wins best editing
Not surprised
hard cat to judge
but not mad i guess
i might need to watch train dreams
sinners won cinematography wow
thats what 4 wins now
i think it wins best picture
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY πππππ€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Train Dreams had better cinematography
Need to watch that
I actually was a bit disappointed with marty supreme
It's better than all of the movies in BP
Except obaa
Imagine sinners win best picture
another black panther again
Not as rtardead as black panther in 2018 tho at least sinners was rlly good and also original
it looks interesting from what ive seen, so ill prob get to it eventually

Fuck this song
I was so happy
not sure, oppenheimer is the last one ive cared to watch
before that it was parasite
yep
i was rooting for dune 2 last year
all those joke bits ran too long , but they cut the actual winners is insane
same, i think it won some awards
best actor next
i mean anora was fine but dune 2...
Fuck yeah
PTA wins
what were the other films?
he was the most deserving this year
i think sinners should be best pic
damn anora won over the brutalist?
Anora was so unworthy of it
lol
THE
ahahah
OMG
Mannnnn
THIS IS CRAZY
WHATTTTTTTTTTT
I wanted Leo man
WHAT A JOKE
Their whole crew hating on timothee
WHAT A JOKE
Not better than Leo or Timmy
fuck this movie
most dick sucked movie of the decade
Me when I win an oscar by talking to myself dupe
we been doing this twin shit since the 30s
it's not new
π
i like the director too, this feels off
chalamet might be the new leo
wins it later in his career
going to have to go back and watch all the twin roles now and see how it really stacks up
Tom Hardy did it like 10 years ago
it wasnt a good movie compared to sinners
But it's literally the same
It's not new
not an academy winning performances
Wagner Moura or Leonardo DiCaprio had better convincing performance
so jessie buckley is winning this huh
yeah first thing that came to mind, never fully watched it though
why is mikey madison so fine
yep
not surprised hamnet had to win something
updating my watchlist
Irish ppl gonna go nuts
If we doing that Jim Carrey deserves an Oscar for sonic 3
CONOR MCGREGOR!!!!!
Definitely not himπ
love the accents
obaa is gonna win this
I love mbj but let's be real he just played 2 dudes
Like if he did a crazy performance with 2 people
He didn't play 2 distinct people
Both characters were basically the same
such a shame war of the worlds wasnt nominated
One is just a fucking vampire
dont think anyone in the film got enough time to really be a best actor
Fuck yeahhh
nice obaa won
Yessir
OBAA FUCK YOU SINNERS
it was so obvious
my stream died was that for BP?
Yeah
ROBERT DE NIRO ALSO PLAYED A TWIN THEREFORE HE SHOULDVE WON AN OSCAR
one battle took alot home
IN 2025 ALSO
Ludwig GΓΆransson is a 3-time Oscar winner for his musical scores:
β’ βBlack Pantherβ (2018)
β’ βOppenheimerβ (2023)
β’ βSinnersβ (2025)
See the full winners list: https://t.co/2LO8EZqZIM
there will be blood shouldve won best pic...
best twin/duel roles:
- Gemini man
- Pedator Badlands
- Terminator genysis
- Jack and Jill
- Matrix reloaded
who the fuck was the twin in terminator
tough call, no country for old men won that year
Jim Carrey sonic 3
youre right
arnold fought himself early on i think in that movie for like 10 secs
Mbj wasnt better than Wagner Moura
if they made the entire movie about them then i could have seen it
Keep your heart open.

marty supreme went home empty handed
obaa won 6 awards
hard to complain about the Oscars too much when the best movie of the year wins Best Picture.
not necessarily mad at mbj winning an oscar cause I like bro but i dont think he really deserved it either for this
Leonardo's performance was better PERIOD
he wasn't even better than Timmy's or Wagner Moura.
HE JUST PLAYED A TWIN.
NOT 2 DISTINCT ROLES
JUST THE SAME
the twins felt different but not by that much
obaa?
its not his best film but i liked it
yeah
there will be blood and magnolia fc
for sure
boogie nights too
it didnt really register with me that much
movie kind of felt depressing tho cuz of irl stuff lol
We should all be hating Adrien Brody for winning an Oscar because of AI
yeah i think thats where all this momentum and hype is coming from @modest pilot
just feels very topical
wonder how that even got out
Sebastian Stan DESERVED that Oscar
Dude basically risked his career for playing that orange piece of shit
The Apprentice is one of the best movies this decade
It's carried by Sebastian Stan
ill add it to the list
2027 Oscars gonna go hard when dune 3 wins bp
OBAA won 6 tonight
best picture
best director
best editing
best adaption
best casting
best Sup Actor
should've won best actor
I went 3/4
I also went 3/4 last year because of that fuck Adrien Brody
Kevin O'Leary just pulled up to the Oscars wearing one of the most expensive basketball cards in the world π
It's a 1-of-1 featuring Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James, with their game-worn NBA Logoman patches.
O'Leary himself says it could be worth $25-30 MILLION π€―
dawg what
π
he's an idiot
whod you have over him?
Sebastian Stan and Colman Domingo
whats going on with him lol
π
hes weird and a billionaire
Marty supreme made him relevant
damn
i didnt even recognize him
he played his role well as a scummy guy

Just had to be himself
i liked tyler in it a lot
he brought a lot of energy and charisma
Fr
do you think marty should have won?
ngl i was kind of hoping timothee won best actor
the screenplay yeah
i need to watch the best pic movies now lol
fair
he tanked the entire film from his comments lol
bro i didnt even peep wat he said
Ppl did use it a bit out of context but yeah he shouldn't have said it
happy for pta even tho i was pretty meh on battle
The problem was his comments
When he says he βlost 2 centsβ because opera/ballet people arenβt gonna show up for his film
Lol
more so saying he doesnt want movies and movie theaters to become an obscure hobby/art like ballet and opera is now
but dorks took it as him just saying "opera and ballet sucks"
well it did
youre not the only one
they closed the voting before he said that
best movie of the year wins best picture (surprising π±π±π±)
use this emotion for dune 3 @LisanAl-Gaib
they secured some weird deal to get the most imax theaters on release so i think it will help maybe 1st week
thats why i said 1st week
1st week, 1st day, 2nd day
It's the mcu
no children under 18 would watch dune 3
as much as I'm hate watching on doomsday
it'll break every record
a whole family of 5 would watch doomsday
I know people that are like this
i doubt doomsday makes more than mario galaxy
dune two only sold 700M thought it cracked a billion so yeah prob wont help and the fact like you said about the ages
just thought it was more popular
for more serious people it is
I've read like two dune books
still my fav character
my sister is urging me to read it
im going to audio book the last one
im still reading the 1st one
anya taylor joy fc
she's like 4 years older than me, and she's convinced her child won watch it with her ππ
Mcu slop is going to win anytime
not much of a competition
specially an avengers movie
its fine, im going to review bomb it
did yall see that battle between breaking fans and KOTR fans
my favorite comic book character of all time is going to become a children's movie
the second I saw rdj was doom and the russos are directing it's over immediately
bro I forgot about this
Aaron sorkin directing π₯
i pictured this is you when the reveal happened
just felt desperate
still insane Leo only has one oscar
hes been nominated alot though
8 times
I loved Dallas buyers club and Matthew McConaughey but he wasn't better than Leo's
i havent seen gilbert grape blood diamond revenant
He won in the revenant out of all movies
wolf, aviator would have been 2 i wanted him to win for
They were like "fuck it man there you go"
He was just a kid in what's eating gilbert grape
Insane feat
WHO won
He deserved that
played a mentally challenge kid in that , i want to say it was his 1st big film too
oh yeah that was tough, jamie was perfect in that role
π€
not mad at that
yea i think i wouldve given to phoenix too
same
damn i think leo is just unlucky then lol
happens like that
some actors aren't just in the same level as him
hes in the al pacino, robert de niro level
the academy has been disrespecting Jesse Plemons
more studious should push him for an academy
I've been saying this for years
he's been one of the greatest actors in this generation
and not one bats an eye
he's the goat

i do think hes versatile though
he's like this decade's Eddie redmayne
he is
π€
no what year?
bravo Chloe Zhao
i literally skipped that entire year lol
movie came out in 2020
i heard sound of metal was good
These were all mid
messed up year in general
stacked year
though Marty should've won
then a flop the next
The Irishman is the best movie here
some people just can't stand watching a 3 hour movie
might be the best war movie i seen
Time is the enemy.

Rigged for him to win
he had twice the votes b/c he played 2 characters
200IQ
I thought it was pretty clearly Leo or Timothee
Jim Carrey sonic 3.
Lots of people did
casino
They planted that tourettes guy
havent seen
For mbj to win
The Hustler isn't what he used to be. But he has the next best thing. A kid who is.

Crazy marketing
been meaning to watch this too

scorseses range kind of insane no
I've been watching classics and been drafting the reviews for them
The ones I watched, Die Hard, Casablanca, Clockwork Orange, Apocalypse Now
not to me
at least not like Spielberg
spielberg was on an insane run in the 80s
hes the goat
just #wow
classics, need to watch apocalypse now fully
anything he touches turns to gold
we dont talk about his 2010s run
πππ
hes old now, its just MJ wizards era now
i hate his lighting now
wait lowkey i liked tintin and bridge of spies
yeah disclosure day kind of has weird lighting in it
most movies have weird lighting now lol
indiana jones had this type of lighting effect at times too
the later ones
bro exactly lmao
its weird man
i think its the cameras
its just one of those things you notice the moment you see it

something like this is an oscar worthy performance
one evil wife abuser and the other twin is a schizophrenic queer
both were part of the british mob
TWIN/two distinctive roles
The Oscarsβ response?

You truly canβt make this stuff up.

So incredibly disappointed and heartbroken that the #Oscars and AMPAS chose not to include my father, David Keighley, and his immeasurable contributions to IMAX and cinema in the In Memoriam segment in the broadcast.I will never forget.
wtf
they are time jumping
trailer tomorrow
i haven't read messiah
i guess its the only way to get anya in it
why is his face like that
i think alot of people will be mad about this one
its a hard story to tell i think from movie perspective
do you care about spoilers?
um wait don't spoil
yeah I heard the book is divisive
curious how Denis adapts this
||its from him not winning an oscar||
not a real spoiler
but damn i messed that up lol
they will have to pivot
i havent read all the books
but i know alot of the stories
in true Marty Hauser fashion
yeah it gets weird later hope this is the last one
i used to think nolan was the best sci-fi director but i think its deni now
i want more sci-fi from him
we need more sci fi in general
like I want more avatar movies
lol
James Cameron gotta finish the story bro
wish he didnt commit to 8 or however many films of these
hes prob got one of the weirdest and smallest filmographies but are all hits
he's an asshole but he's a god at filmmaking
This time it's war.

He's doing the next Bond after Dune 3
Bill Paxton FC
Tom Holland π₯ π₯
stop..
That'd be horrible but I do wonder if they go with a younger Bond
wait how?
i thought they only allowed UK directors direct the films
December
no clue about this
I can't remember if that was a rule they adhered to or not
it might not be official something i heard some years back
But Amazon now owns the franchise which will bring about some changes
good

And this one is my fav
i need to dive into the bond universe
pierce was my bond growing up but those movies look cheesy now
He's my favorite Bond actor
Most handsome
Timothy Dalton I would say is my second favorite
ngl I only watched the Craig films
GoldenEye is awesome
I think the ending is better when you look at it being the last Bond movie from the previous owners
which was your fav from that series?
From the Craigs I liked Casino Royale the most
i think i found my next film quest
need to re-watch 007s from pierce to now
i think i liked skyfall the best but might need to revisit a some of them
I haven't really watched any of the Roger Moore ones
me either
From what I heard those are the more campy movies
never seen connerys either
my next film quest ATM is rewatching the LOTR movies but I haven't decided yet
i think i heard that as well
or planet of the apes
theres one where they had a guy just play bond maybe once or twice then switched
Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Goldfinger are all solid imo
George Lazenby was the guy who only played Bond once
In On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Solid movie tbh but he definitely holds it back
have you watched the amazon series?
nah lol
me either
Ik they're making the hunt for gollum movie
i watched a few episodes then just got bored
which quite frankly is dumb
thats him
lol
dont know all the details but wondered what happened
Iirc he made it seem like he had a lot more acting experience than he actually did
Yeah kind of a Bond move ngl lol
he put his buddy down as a reference
Ah
have u read the books
word
yeah im not a big LOTR fan, so any of these spin-offs just dont excite me
idk what to expect
oops
and where is gurney?
not you, im talking the posters
it is
lmaooooo
i have a good guess but its a possible spoiler as well

I've thought that it might turn out to be a better movie than book
Because the wording was kind of cringey at points
And there are some sequences that would seem very impressive visually on screen
Not that the book was bad, it was awesome
Feels good to be excited for a movie again
||the petrova line and meeting rocky's ship||
||lol i watched the trailer and its kind of insane how much they got away with it||

The only thing I'm a little worried about is that it might be a little overstuffed
There's a lot of very different stuff going on in this trailer
The Hand, the mutation saga thing, scorpion, another villain
i wish they didnt connect this to nwh characters at all
Like no MJ, no ned
that was like the entire point of the ending
im so fucking excited for this movie
action already looks better than previous Spidey films

this dude is just fucking rtardead
Don't get tricked by this.
It doesn't mean it's bad.
I think they overall did a great job
Anyway back to the interstellar point. Despite the fact that both stories have a similar thriving force through a similar inciting incident, both stories decide to take a very different thematic approach, you could even argue that they take the opposite approach
"for kids"is kinda derogatory but it leans more into the fantasy aspect
Interstellar adheres more to individualism which makes people consider it a more mature story because it speaks to their fantasy of being that mature, strong person
Project hail Mary is all about collaboration, the joint effort, which most people consider "childish" because how could adults ever get along am I right π₯π
You could argue what attracts these people to interstellar is more childish than what attracts others to Hail Mary honestly.
And then I'm talking specifically about these kind of people who make statements like that
i hate reading reviews like this, especially before seeing the film
i'm excited for this movie, but not really to see it myself but for other people to see it, and hopefully shift the cultural mindset more towards more optimism/less doomerism
solve problems with rational thinking, cooperation, science
world doesn't have to be zero-sum race to the bottom
i'll watch it when it comes to streaming...on some level i feel like i've already watched it
we need more ||rocky in the world||
Said by people who arent in a war torn country with running water lol
its giving kardashian
terrible situation
but also a problem that can be solved/improved
wars have gone from double digit millions of deaths, to double-triple digit thousands
just have to keep pushing on driving down the scale/impacts of conflicts
New Spider-man looks good
im very scared of matrix resurrections
It's the worst one

For a long time, sci-fi has been coasting, weak centers, and large budgets. This film is unique, and i didnt anticipate having such strong feelings about it. I didnt have any expectations or a frame of reference because i never read the book. Lord and Miller made something that actually earns its runtime, its emotion, and its ambition. It is one of the best sci-fi film i have seen, and its prob...

Tom Hardy is the only reason this film is worth seeing. he portrays the kray twins, creating two unique characters from the inside without relying on makeup and or clothing. Reggie is calm and charming in a way that only dangerous people possess, Ronnie is erratic and darkly humorous. I had to remind myself that they were the same person in every scene. It is among the most underrated and techn...
Project Hail Mary was so fucking good
i was going to not suggest you watch it
it was too on the nose for me
according to some of the behind the scenes, it was supposed to be a direct response to WB
Wachowski's didnt want to do a reboot or a 4th one, so i believe they were going to give the film to another director and thats when lana signed on for it, and made the product we see now.
i respect her for that but man the movie is rough lol
action scenes sucked in this one too
choppy ass editing
u know theyre gonna make a fifth one/?
there wasnt one thing redeemable about it
yeah
so dumb
just sucks that its memory will be tarnished like other great franchises
i didnt like keanu that much in this one too
movie titles that should not have gotten a reboot/sequel:
OG Matrix trilogy
Indiana jones
Gladiator
Space Jam
thank the heavens back to the future didnt get one
i dont even remember her role in it, it should have been a lot bigger or she should have been that rabbit character
gladiator 2 was so weird

The performances lifted the most in this film. Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, even Jim Broadbent won an Oscar for this.
The story stays small and personal, and I liked that. It moves between past and present smoothly, and the second half hits because it is earned not forced. It never tries to do too much, it just focuses on what matters.

This is not an easy watch, it is not supposed to be. The film never once preaches, it never tells you how to feel. That restraint is what made this film so uncomfortable to sit with, and I mean that as a compliment. Natja Brunkhorst was 14 when they filmed this, and I keep forgetting she was acting. She carried the entire weight of the film and she never buckles under it. The Berlin they put on...

Mass State Lottery got me. this was one of the best films of 2025 and I cant believe i missed it. As far as i know this was a directoral debut. that is massively impressive to begin with. this is the kind of film that earns your attention by r efusing to make its main character to root for. a failed private investigator working a missing persons case sounds straightforward enough.

The film is beautifully crafted, with sharp writing that make every moment count. Everytime I watch this it sticks with me more than I expected. The tone keeps shifting. One moment it feels funny, then it turns heavy fast. It never feels random though. Everything stays grounded, so even the extreme moments hit harder.
It focus on grief and anger. No easy answers. The dialogue really stand...
@modest pilot my friend just saw a 15 min preview of odyssey shown before project hail mary

bro the characters in the movie were annoying tho
and I didn't know Carl Sagan was involved in the production that's cool
it was the only fiction book he wrote
fuck I wanna rewatch it lol
the crazy thing is that between AI and DMT, we kinda do have these avenues to potentially talk to aliens
and there is resistance in exploration in both
feels like we are in the movie with the different factions

I had a lot of fun watching this, and i want to be clear that the film is not trying to be fun. The violence is brutal and purposeful and cronenberg never lets it feel cool. but there is something gripping about watching a crime world this specific and this controlled unfold on screen. the tension builds in a way that kept me locked in from scene to scene. It earns every uncomfortable moment it...

THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE is a bland and boring visual spectacle; a 96 minute video game cutscene with shockingly little dialogue. Sure, the animation is impressive and there are tons of nostalgic references, but the action and the humor is entirely aimed at little kids

An aneven film with a genuine great central performance. the message about compromise and idealism lands even when the story doesn't. The film loses the thread a bit in the second and third act. Denzel gives a committed performance in a film that doesn't fully deserve it. Worth watching for Denzel alone if you're looking for his best performances.
